LAFF, a new over-the-air broadcast channel, has launched nationwide including here in Orlando on April 15th.

They will run a variety of 80's - 90's sitcoms, as well as comedy movies from the same general era. The local ABC affiliate that carries it, also carries the still fairly new Grit TV, which they moved to another location on the dial to accommodate LAFF.

LAFF Network launches in Orlando

So that now makes a total of 30 (watchable) FREE over the air channels I get with nothing more than a homemade antenna. This is not counting all the Spanish & religious (unwatchable) channels that I keep deleted from the lineup that will scroll via the up/down channel button on the remote.

Cable schmable!!!!

Great news guys.... With the Air Hawk, flat balls are no longer a problem!!!

That is impressive, if I had that many choices I might consider it too.
I'm guessing it's a more densely populated area or there is just plain more demand for it.

We have a lot fewer choices.
Milwaukee has the most at 13.
You need a good antenna to pick up Green Bay here.
Only 7 choices from them.

I really do wish I could use an antenna. Seems like it may be having a resurgence. But living up here in the hills of Amishland, unless you've got a thirty foot tall antenna, you might get PBS and that'd be it. But it'd sure beat the prices TWC is asking nowadays.

There's a local channel broadcasting out of Cleveland, 8.2, where they have alot of the classics. I'd like to be able to get that channel as well.

Maybe you could attach an omni directional antenna to a helium filled weather balloon, then anchor it to the ground via a 30 to 40 ft cable.

Might work....

We have about 20 channels here that can be accessed by antenna, including ThisTV, Bounce, MeTV and AntennaTV. There's also a few movie channels like GetTV. I know this summer there's supposed to be something called Buzzr, which is like GSN.

There's only a few cable networks I wish I had, but seeing these options available make me realize I don't need cable, esp. with the options also available on Roku.

I love watching some of the documentaries on the PBS World channel...

I had dish. I hated it.
Once I went to off-the-air Free-tv I turned it Off!  it spent the last 6 months of the 2 yr contract disconnected. I'm Fee-Free!
LAFF sounds good. I don't get it.  I get ones you listed and a few others too. WORK = is movies. Cozi tv & decades. there are new ones coming on all the time.
