What in the flying f**k is this crap?! I can't even express how stupid this commercial as and how retarded all these people are acting. Also, what the hell is wrong with a real camera? Does owning a smartassphone with a camera make you think you're a professional photographer? All these people in this commercial need to be bitch slapped to the stone age. I own a real camera and that's the only thing I'll be using to take pictures, I don't need to look like a dumbass like these idiots do.

This is why Nokia and Windows Phone are failing. Perfect example of their failure. I assume they made this phone because people wouldn't want to carry a camera on their neck all day but this phone just looks plain stupid with that camera lense. That's just a failed copy of the Samsung Galaxy Camera. My iPhone or anybody's smartphone nowadays does it's job in recording or taking photos in events. Who needs this cheesy Nokia Lumia 1020 with a gigantic camera lense? Just stupid.

I don't even have a beef with the device itself here (well, I do but that's not the point of this rant), but just how stupid everyone in this commercial is acting! I know parents want pictures of their kids in their big moment...but where in the hell would you see people acting like this?!

I notice none of the pictures they show (In another commercial for this phone) are macro. That's pretty much the only reason I use my camera phone (Macro Lenses are expensive as f**k!). I can get amazing clear macro shots with my HTC MyTouch. Not fancy, not super expensive (considered a "mom" phone), but it does just as good as I imagine my SLR would with a macro lens.

Now, if this camera takes pictures so good you can start to see individual cells, I may consider it.

I think it's really just a scam marketed towards stupid people who'll spend limitless amounts of cash on this stupidity. If anyone even had five brain cells, they'd see this is just a scam to get people to spend a bunch of money on something they could've probably perfected and had out long ago in just one device instead of spanned over 10 years and 20 new devices and $5,000 some dollars ago.

Nokia had done false advertising. Apparently there was a commercial where they claimed there camera had good quality and crap. But the photos were taken with Hollywood style cameras instead of the phone in their ads.

What's a Hollywood-style camera? A camera with a cleft chin?

These Nokia/Windows phone commercials are the bane of my existence atm, and the sole reason I signed up for this forum.

I can't believe people buy into this sh*t.

It just reinforces my opinion that a majority of people are f**king stupid, and will believe anything you tell them as long as they think what you're telling them/selling them will make them look better/cooler/more interesting than the next schmuck. And, a large part in the rise of this trend in advertising has been brought upon by social networking and the abuse/misuse of it all. Facebook isn't about dumbsh*t little teenagers, and their narcissistic worlds of selfies taken with the new Windows phone. or, their parents' seeming need to live vicariously through them, and embarrass themselves and their kids with their desire to be "hip" through the use of the newest technology.

f**k that!

This commercial panders to that vapid crowd of self-serving idiots. if you notice the people without the Nokia Lumia are all tragically uncool, and are jumping all over one another, making sloppy messes of themselves; fighting, and fussing to get the best picture. The "cool" couple with the Nokia Lumia are about as hip as any parents can be. With youthful good looks, and the latest in fashion trends, you too can look like this if you own this phone. That is at least what Windows, and Nokia want you to think. And, I'm sure most of the f**kheads clamoring for the attention and approval of complete strangers will believe them, and rush out to buy this latest iteration in a long line of money-grabbing techniques to attract moths to your pockets.

^^I feel honored that a thread I made is the sole reason you signed up on here.

You definitely made great points and I agree with them all. It seems that advertising agencies prey on the stupidity of the human race in 2013 to sell a bunch of sh*t people don't need. I laugh when people make the argument that it's 2013 and you need to be up with the times. Well, the times suck and people are just getting so rude and stupid that it's nothing to be proud of. I miss the 90s when people were a little less stupid and a lot nicer to each other.

They have shown this commercial all day and I was compelled to post here.  Unlike most of you, who seem to be annoyed by the general spirit of the commercial and the audience they are pandering to, my point of contention is much more subtle.

The kids singing.

Yes, it's cute when (your own) kids are singing in a school play.  But hearing strange children, dressed as vegetables, singing "I am a veggie, I am so tasty" over the melody of the Barber of Seville Overture is so grating on my nerves that I leap for the remote with such haste that I have jammed my finger on more than one occasion.

Maybe it's the absurd lyrics over a classic piece of music, maybe it's the jarring reverberation of a group of children singing, maybe it's just oversensitive ears...but it almost brings me to tears when I hear it.
