I've never shot a heroine.  Or a nun (that could lead to bad habits... )

Man, WTF has happened to music? Back in the 70s there were cool bands like ELO and Sweet and others that had great lyrics and jamming beats. Today its whiny singers like Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift and whoever does that stupid song "I'm so fancy" ick! Makes me wanna gag!

Did people become stupid over the last 40 years, seriously what happened?
One good thing about TV-you could always turn it off

Will a knock-off brand from the Dollar Tree do?  If I'm going to start huffing cooking spray, I'd like to do it as cost-effectively as possible.

And for the record, weed doesn't count.  Bob Saget explains what a true addiction is:

I've been clean since 1978. I had a problem with smack, but thanks to some very good people, and the love of my wife, I have stayed away from heroin.
Do I still want it? Hell yes!
That's why I continuinly stay active and away from the bordom that breeds the need.

MTV!
They kicked open the door and allowed the untalented posers to take over. HIPHOP and RAP pulled that sh*t out of the ghetto, put it on MTV, and the suburban white kids began imitating that sh*te. Now it has infested the entire music business, because it's easy to create, doesn't require any talent or instruments, and makes tons of money.
It should NEVER be included in the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame, but thanks to the vast stupidity of the world today, it is!

Congrats Jimmy Clap

Shooting up was something I never did.  Aside from pot which was my buzz of choice during my young adult years, I had my 6 month fling with coke (though I made damn well sure to keep that limited to once a week, occasionally twice at most), my stint with dropping acid, and did X a few times, but never did anything intravenously. I don't have a fear of needles or anything, it was just something I had no desire to do.    I never got around to doing shrooms either, even though I had the friends and opportunities to.  I haven't touched any hard drugs in the past 15 years - only weed and alcohol, and only the latter in the last 6 1/2 years.

I did my share of pot and acid (in the 70s) and coke (mostly in the 80s).  Never really drank (only been drunk maybe 3 times)---35-40 years ago.

At this point, that stuff just all seems alien to me.  It might as well be sushi.  LOL

Thanks Insanity213! Good for you too!
Heroin use was pretty common place where I came from in the UK. Most of my mates were into "shooting" parties, most of them are long gone (R.I.P. lads).
I had a fairly long run with LSD (from 1969 through to 1978), as well as smoking weed and hash, taking qualudes, reds, mescaline, and heroin. I never fancied coke, or meth. Tried both, and didn't fancy either.
I also come from a family of heavy drinkers, but I rarely enjoyed alcohol when I used to drink it.
Now I'm straight as an arrow, and happy to still be alive.

I tried all of the popular things too, never shot up anything.
Mostly pot and alcohol, some coke thrown in there on occasion.
My dad died with booze based dementia in his 80's.
I like my cocktails but realize the effects and have cut back with more work to do.

I was introduced at some of the outside festivals I attended with my older cousins. It was inadvertently taken, I drank a "dosed" bottle of fizzy drink that was being passed around. That is also when I began smoking marijuana.
To say I was the "black sheep" of my immediate family is taking it lightly. I was a disgrace to my Mum & Dad. Thank God I straightened out before my Dad passed on in 1985.
The fact that I am respected now is truly amazing. Coming to this country (U.S.A.) was the best thing I could've done. It is here where I met my wife, and it is her who helped point me in the right direction. Sobriety is my salvation, and the activity within the kitchen is where I excercise my mind from the habits which were going to be my fatal addiction.
My best mate (Danny) died when we were both 24. I was here, straight and getting started in my culinary career. He was still in Paignton, working in labour when he wasn't giving himself the jab. His overdose broke my heart, but it gave me more resolve to never use again.
