This mom is trying to schedule time with her three kids. But they're "all booked up" with activities and don't have time. The youngest tells her she can squeeze her in for 15 minutes.
So, guess what? They get a Viera TV (new VI(sual) ERA). Next shot is the Mom, Dad and three kids sitting together, watching their TV together. Awwwww. This is quality time? The 15 minutes they can spend together they waste on TV?! What kind of message does this send, besides "TV IS YOUR GOD. GENUFLECT BEFORE ME." ? |

The youngest child says that she can squeeze in 15 minutes of her time to spend with her mother?! WTF?! You mean Li'l Precious can't tear herself away from her iPod, computer or cell phone for an hour to talk to the woman who gave her life? What's next, kids having a social secretary to plan their day?
Also, why should quality time with your kids mean spending it in front of the boob tube? And if they do want to watch TV together, what family agrees to watch the same show? If this were my house, we'd all start fighting for the remote because none of us watch the same type of shows. BTW, when I read the title of this thread, I thought it had something to do with Meredith Viera. I thought to myself, "now she's getting her own network?!" I can't stand that woman; I've never liked her. |

the first time I saw that commercial, I could feel my blood pressure rising. The next time, I dragged my wife in front of the tv & made her watch it, then said, "because that's EXACTLY what's wrong with kids these days. They just don't watch enough TV! I guess now we have the solution". fdfsdfjksdfjklsdfjklsdfjlsdfjklffjkl;djkldfjkl df (random banging of my keyboard because once again I'm getting angry just THINKING about that horrible commercial) |

I hate this commercial as well, it's overflowing with hip trendyness.
 The Boobtube? That's quality time? screw that thating thing has become a pile of trash except for a few good morsels of shows. Get out the frickin house for once in a while!!!!
