Just heard this commercial from another room and HAD to find out what all the horrible, tone deaf singing was about. Ah yes...Truvia Sweetener. There's one about a chocolate bunny as well. |

I don't really understand the ad. They're insinuating that a packet of Truvia in some tea is going to make me NOT want that donut or chocolate?? I don't think so.... And Truvia is very unpleasant tasting and bitter, IMO. It has a peculiar "perfumy" flavor too, which once ruined a perfectly good cuppa for me.

THAT is NOT singing. It sounds like one of those songs where the person just talks, with a little bit of song to their voice, but mostly sounds like they're just talking.

Another faux-hipster "song" in an ad <*sighs*> To WHOM do these adholes think these commercials appeal!?!? Just because there's some lame-ass plant distillate in a little envelope does NOT mean you don't still want the ice cream/doughnut/whatever is made with SUGAR. And by the way, this technique is called "speaking on pitch"--Rex Harrison used in in the film version of My Fair Lady because he couldn't sing.

 Stevia isn't "artificial". It's a natural plant source of sweetness. You can choose to use it, or not. Read the labels to see what they've done to it!
