Now...this guy was really something else. Anyone see him collecting already-tossed wedding rice for a future dinner?

I've been known to reuse aluminum foil and Saran Wrap and a lotta other things, but I'm sure as hell not gonna start reusing toilet "paper".

What do the "reuseable toilet paper" people do when they have company? Hand them a used rag?

The least they can do is dye the rags brown first.

I've done that before, Pa, and I agree, it works perfectly! We still by coffee filters, though - the Aldi brand.

I reuse paper towels. I've even washed them. Works well with Viva paper towels. I get really annoyed when visitors tear off two paper towels to sop up their kids' little puddle of spilled whatever---and then throw the paper towel away. I keep my mouth shut, though and have learned to hide the paper towels when certain people come over.
But it's not just a matter of being cheap. It's also a matter of not wanting to run out of such products. There are certain products I always forget to buy.

After watching the clips, I am going to hug my husband and apologize for calling him a cheapskate.....he flips over the ketchup bottles..he adds water to the dishwashing liquid when it reaches the bottom..he does use old rags but TO POLISH THINGS AND CLEAN FURNITURE when I complain that he is too cheap to buy clorox bleach wipes (which I love). These people are FREAKING WACKY!! And the lady that doesn't buy toilet tissue...EWWWWWWWW!!!!! I would never eat at her house!! That is just NAAAASTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I LOVE YOU BOB!!!!! I'LL NEVER CALL YOU CHEAP AGAIN!

My mother used to put water in the ketchup bottles to get that last bit, and I would always get angry when I ended up squirting ketchup water on a nice burger!
![]() I do have a confession, though. I am a bottle flipper. I have a bottle of Avon Cocoa Butter lotion flipped over on my desk now. The ketchup bottle is flipped over, as well as the shampoo and body wash bottles. When I get to the end of the laundry detergent, yes, that one gets flipped, too.I don't have a lot of money to waste.....but, I won't destroy a product by stretching it with water, either - unless it's detergent, then it doesn't matter. Pa, my grandmother used to make free range greens, lol. Dandelion, lambsquarter weed, just to name a few. They would have been good if she would have seasoned them better.

My mom does the detergent thing, but she does it always. She has an empty soap bottle that she puts a tiny bit of detergent into, and fills the rest with water XD Drives me nuts. I'll admit, I've gone numerous times to use the "refill" bottle instead of the diluted.

I would do the same thing as you, Codtaro. I put water in the detergent bottle to get the last of it out, but throw the bottle away.

If the price of toilet paper got me that upset and caused my budget to go haywire, then I'd sell the kid first. I mean really - is that the only way to save money? How utterly disgusting. |

As gross as this seems nowa days, back in the 1960s when my little brothers were still infants.
I remember that they wore cotton cloth diapers. Which were machine washed and reused, just like the rags. Though I seem to remember lots of Clorox bleach being used. |
