.......but they show them so damned often it feels like it is.

I watch Military channel quite a bit, and they have this damned clip they show during commercial breaks, but it is not really a commercial, but has nothing to do with whatever show is on at the time either.  It is more like a miniature 2 minute documentary.  They have several of them really.  In one they show the CGI programming that goes into making shows reenacting battles and such.  Most of these are narrated by Lee Ermey (or whatever his name is), and they play them over and over ad-nauseum.  I have listened to him extoll the virtues of the P-40, and the half-track so many times I feel like he is trying to sell me one.  Watching one episode of a show on there you may see the same mini documentary a half dozen times.  I turn the channel often cause I am so sick of hearing these things (I know them verbatum), then end up watching something else.. so Military channels is kinda screwing themselves.  These things make you wish for a damned real commercial ad.

I keep waiting for him to give me the price for a Browning machine gun, and offering to double the order for 19.95.. but it never happens.

Haven't seen that one and I watch Military Channel. The one I see often is where they show some Nazis punching a grandma in the stomach. "Never before seen footage ...."

I used to love the History Channel plus History International. Nowdays when I tune in I feel I have got the "commercial" channel by mistake (5 minute informercials). THEY ALSO PLAY THE SAME THING OVER, AND OVER AGAIN.

I loved R Lee Ermey in Full Metal Jacket. It didn't take long for him to wear me down in Mail Call. His type of abrasive humor tends to be; a little goes a long way.
