Another screen from the megademo "AIDS Demo" that I wrote for/on the Commode 64 computer in September 1993.
And yes, I realise that the word "toilet" is misspelled; but the entire graphic screen is hard-coded as a bitmap and the spelling cannot be corrected. |

Yet another screen from the megademo "AIDS Demo" that I wrote for/on the Commode 64 computer in September 1993.
And yes, I realise that the word "acquired" is misspelled; but this graphic (the topmost 25% or so anyway) is hard-coded as a bitmap and the spelling cannot be corrected.

The first screen (the "failsafe instruction" screen) of the "AIDS Awareness" demo program I wrote on/for the Commodore 64 computer in September 1993.

I used to have one of these machines.
Not only was it loud, it played well even when the batteries were too pooped out to work in any other machine. |

Miracle Grow "Bloom Boo" flower food for use during the last week of October.
Maybe they should pair this with "Desiccated Skeleton Fertiliser" as well. ![]()

A picture I drew of the Atari coin-op arcade video game Tempest from 1980.
I drew it with a program called RIPaint in the mid-1990s.
RIP (Remote Imaging Protocol) is an EGA 640x400 16-color graphics format specifically designed to allow graphics to be rapidly displayed on a dial-up BBS.
Pulsars (that squiggly cyan thing in the rightmost lane) and fuseballs (that multicolored 5-armed star near the lower center) do not normally appear at level 9. Pulsars appear at level 17, and fuseballs appear at level 11. ![]() |

One of the "Daylight Saving Time" screens I used on my BBS in the mid-1990s.
I modified the date of the source code so that it could be used this year.

I got this pic in an email today. I'll include the words, too.
This is the craziest thing I've seen in a long time. For those of you in the 21st century (e.g. blackberry owners), you'll need to look at this on a PC. You also have to get out of your seat and walk away from your computer. People may think you're crazy. But it's well worth it...
![]() When you look at this picture close up you see it's... Albert Einstein.
But if you stand about 10 feet or so away, it will become... Marilyn Monroe |

Glad to creep you out there, Ad nauseous.
The Exploratorium (hands-on science museum) in San Francisco has this cool exhibit. You sit at a small table directly across from a person of your choosing. In between the two of you stands a piece of glass. The glass is semi-mirrored. That is, you can see as much of your own reflection as you can see the person on the other side of the glass. You line your faces up and---voila! You see an exact combination of both faces.

This isn't up to snuff with what Thor tossed at us (which I thought was GREAT!), but, well...it belongs here...
