Just making my daily check-in from Federal Way WA. USA...I only have a trio of updates planned for my website today...the first two concern my having performed spectroscopy of fluorescence of the 2009 NIA Commemorative Insulator in uranated* glass when irradiated with the "<5mW" 445nm Blue Portable Laser, and the last is an update to my "Foto(s) del Día" web page with...well, what else could it be? If you guessed, "A photograph showing what you see when somebody is just totally lazy?" then YAY!!! AFTER JUST ONE "STRIKE" YOU GOT ANOTHER ONE CORRECT!!! YOU'RE GETTING GOOD AT THIS!!!

The update of that laser (with photograph) was posted on three other BBSs.

This is my "<5mW" 445nm Blue Portable Laser.

And this is my "Foto del Día".

Somebody has a water closet next to their couch.
This is almost the epitome of couch potato laziness; I say "almost" here, because Homer Simpson invented something he called the "Toilet Chair" -- a Lazy Boy-type recliner with a toilet built into the seat. Sitting in the chair, the user would only need to stand, pull his drawers down, then sit.

My weblog (or "blog" if you prefer) requires no updates as of this posting.

I have no outside trips planned as of this posting.

Becki Boston said {and I quote}:
Hope you had a good weekend Craig. I see you changed your Nikki picture again. She looks cute. I saw something on Saturday morning I thought I'd never see. It wasn't even light out yet when I went to the barn to feed my horse. I found Smoke inside the dogs big kennel run. He was in his dog house and she was stretched out next to it. So I wonder (since she spends so much time at the barn) if she jumps over the chain link fence of the kennel and uses Moose as her body guard when the kit foxes are around/

Good morning Becki,

My weekend went as well as can be expected considering all, thank you! I hpe that *YOU* had a good weekend as well!!!

I changed my avatar again because I got such a great pic of Nikki's loveable, adorable little kitty face with the new camera. :-)

Sounds to me as well like Smoke is using Moose as a bodyguard when the kit foxes are around -- e.g. I believe your assessment is absolutely, positively, 100% correct here. :-)

A dead, dead dragonfly {you can smell it with your eye}; seen on the side of Military Rd. S. in Federal Way WA. in early-July 2009.

Good morning Becki,

Getting the sutures removed hurt more than the operation itself (yes, even more than those gosh darn-diddly-arn nasty hypodermic syringes!) {especially that third suture -- it hurt like a mother!!!}, but after all was said & done, my urologist (coincidentally, named, "Stephen King") said that he had good news for me!!!
To wit:

So he won't have to "whack my pee-pee" after all!!!

Becki Boston said {and I quote}:
Good thing you explained that Bear Bear was meowing and not pissed. He sure looks pissed. But cute none-the-less.

We made it through the 4th this year without any horses getting spooked by sight or sound of fire works. My neighbor brought her horse over and put him in my arena with my horse. Last year the horse saw fireworks going off across the street and ran through a wire fence injuring a leg. My horse doesn't spook at sight or sound of fireworks and he had a calming effect on the other horse. But all the neighborhood dogs...at the first sound of a fire cracker they all started barking. Including ours. The barking didn't stop until the wee hours of the morninig.

Hope you avoided an unsafe and insane 4th.

Good morning Becki,

Bear-Bear really does look royally pissed, doesn't he?
But he's a very nice cat in reality, and would never, ever look that way (once you heard the "meow!" issue from him while he's making that face you'd never in a million years think that he looks torqued off!!!)

Some dillhole was lighting illegal fireworks relatively close by here the other night (and last night too for that matter!) -- by "illegal" I'm thinking things like M-80s, Silver Salutes, that sort of crapola -- fireworks that do little more than make the loudest ***BOOM!!!*** which spooks kitty cats & puppy dogs. We kept our kitties indoors all day on the 4th for that very reason.

All of us stayed home (well, I *tried* to fly a couple of small R/C airplanes that morning, but the socker fields were unavailable so I went to the nearby baseball diamond but then found that it was way too windy so I "took my ball and went home" $0 70 5P34K {so to speak}) and nobody blew any fingers off with an M-80 or got hit with sparks from a rogue Roman candle. So yes, you could say that we all had a safe & sane 4th. :-)

A flooded toliet bowl with several of those translucent, yellow-lidded peecups (urine specimen cups) floating in it in the restroom of a pissology (urology) lab? The bloated and somewhat fungused body of a crow in a plugged-up storm drain (the stupid dead bird is what's clogging up the drane to begin with)? Here's what that airplane looks like:

My favourite line from this program occurs ~25 minutes into the episode "Fairly OddBaby", when Timmy Turner is alone with the baby, and is taking him to the kitchen to warm up his bottle: "Wet's take cawe of you! Wet's go! Wet's go!! I gotta stop tawking wike this!!!" (.WAV format, size 75,572 bytes)

I have a trip planned to the park to fly my Estes Flightmaster ROG (Rise Off Ground) R/C airplane again; one of the previous repairs (that I had made in 2009) failed, so I re-repaired it and we'll see how it goes.

This is the end-result of the last flight of the day (and might I say a successful one too considering that it flew clear out of the socker fields and crash-landed (deliberately of course) in the parking lot. This was a blind landing, as there is a tall grassy knoll between the socker fields and the parking lot that I cannot see over.

My "bestest" vicarious friend Becki Boston said {and I quote}:
That was indeed good news from your doc. Bet you're stress level is down. Sorry about your plane, but at least you got to go outside and fly. We're in day 2 of a heat wave with no end in sight. I was outside this morning before the sun was up doing things to get the horse, dog and twisted sisters through the heat wave. When I went out to the barn Smoke was asleep on top of the dog house. Doesn't that beat all!

Now I have to wage war with ants that are all over the kitchen counter tops. Clorex clean up with bleach works well. I will stay off line tomorrow due to that malware computer thing.

I have good news! They finally got the machine I was using in therapy working. Woo-hoo. I got to use it last Friday. I go again tomorrow at 4pm. Swell. It will be 104 degrees by then. Talk to you later.

Good morning Becki,

My stress level has decreased ***SIGNIFICANTLY*** since learning that my tallywhacker is no longer in any danger of being whacked because the growths were not cancerous at all!!!

We're having a bit of a heat wave as I type this reply (8:53pm PDT 07-08-12); it's approx. 83°F (28.3°C) inside and that's with the air conditioner going at maximum candiosity...er...uh...maximum POWER. I put ice cubes in the kitty water dishes to at least help keep the di-hydrogen oxide (water) cool for them.

I'm sorry to learn that now you have to wage war with those gosh darn-diddly-arn piss ants!!! Damn, those things piss me off!!! (but that's not why they call them piss ants -- its because they smell like urine when you kill them).

What's this malware computer thing you mention?
Is it something that an antivirus program can kill?

I'm extremely pleased to learn that the machine you were using at PT has once again become available for your use!!! I just hope that the PT facility itself is air conditioned -- if it wasn't, I would not be looking forward to going there at all if it's gonna be 104°F (40°C) outside!!!

A "big old jet airliner" carrying people too far away {Steve Miller Band reference here}; flying at an altitude of approximately 1,500 feet over Federal Way WA. USA on the afternoon of 07-07-12 (or "07 Jul. 2012" or even "Jul 07, Twenty Stick-Very-Twirly-Stick" if you prefer).
Looks like it's probably a Boeing 737 to me.

My weblog (or "blog" if you prefer) requires no updates as of this posting.

I have a trip planned to the park to fly my Transformers Starscream, Tuffoam Fun Flyer, and Tuffoam A-10 Thunderbolt II R/C airplanes -- these are the flights that were scrubbed yesterday.

07-10-13 {or "10 Jul 2013", or even "Jul 10, Twenty Stick-Boobs" if you prefer}.
Just making my daily check-in from Federal Way WA. USA...I only have a quintet of updates planned for my website today...the first is a new eval. of the General Electric brand "Blue Waterfall" LED Nightlight, the next two concern my having performed spectroscopy (both noral & narrowband) of its LED, the next is an update to my Tuffoam™ Fun Flyer ''Park Flyer'' R/C Airplane's eval. to state that I flew it on July 04, but no video is available because the wind blew it behind the camera for almost the entire flight (but I did add a photograph of its landing zone on the warning track of the baseball field I flew it in; I flew it there because the socker fields were set up with tents & booths for some type of 4th of July celebration later that day), and the last is an update to my "Foto(s) del Día" web page with...well, what else could it be? A cereal mascot in some rather unpleasant "sichiashenz" {situations}? YAY!!! YOU GOT YET ANOTHER ONE RIGHT!!! GOSH DARN-DIDDLY-ARN!!! YOU'RE ***REALLY*** GETTING GOOD AT THIS!!!

This is my GE brand "Blue Waterfall" LED Nightlight.

This is where my little Tuffoam™ Fun Flyer ''Park Flyer'' R/C Airplane landed on the 4th of July flight that I made.

And these are my "Fotos del Día".

(Top): This is what happens when you hose down the Honey Nut Cheerios Bee with Raid "House & Garden" insecticide (or "beeicide" if you prefer) in an aerosol bomb.

(Center): A graphic I made in 2002; using the much-hated Honey Nut Cheerios Bee riding a scooter and a violet LED.

(Bottom): This graphic that I made in 2001 shows the Honey Nut Cheerios bee being forced back (with the aid of a toilet plunger) into its natural habitat - the sewer of course.
This bee is a male (drone), and therefore possesses no sting -- so I was at no risk of being stung {and subsequently envenomated} during "bee disposal".

My weblog (or "blog" if you prefer) requires no updates as of this posting.

I have a trip planned to the park to fly my Transformers Starscream airplane and my Syma S031G helicopter later this morning.

Just making my daily check-in from Federal Way WA. USA...I only have a trio of updates planned for my website today...the first concerns my having added a video of a rather successful flight of the Syma S031G R/C Coaxial Helicopter to its "videos" web page, the next is an update to my Tuffoam™ Fun Flyer ''Park Flyer'' R/C Airplane's eval. to add a video of a fairly successful flight (which includes a liftoff from the ground -- something it was never designed to do!), and the last is an update to my "Foto(s) del Día" web page with...well, what else could it be? Flowers of some kind? YAY!!! YOU GOT YET ANOTHER ONE RIGHT!!! GOSH DARN-DIDDLY-ARN!!! YOU'RE ***REALLY***, GETTING SUPER-DEE-DUPER (as Barney the Purple Toilet Dinosaur would say) GOOD AT THIS!!!

This is my Syma S031G R/C Coaxial Helicopter.

This is my Tuffoam™ Fun Flyer ''Park Flyer'' R/C Airplane.

And these are my "Fotos del Día".

Somebody planted some cutterbups ("buttercups") along the outer perimeter of the socker fields at Celebration Park in Federal Way WA. USA...I guess they wanted some buzzlegums to show up...O WAIT!!! I guess I've been watching the television program "Viva Piñata" too much again!!!
"Buzzlegums" are bee-like characters that are especially attracted to buttercups...in the episode "Queen for a Day", Franklin Fizzlybear plants buttercups in his garden hoping that buzzlegums will be attracted enough to them to make a hive in the garden so that Franklin can get some honey...needless to say, he got a LOT more than he bargained for.

My weblog (or "blog" if you prefer) requires no updates as of this posting.

I have a trip planned to the park to fly my Tuffoam P-38 Lightning airplane and my Syma S031G helicopter later this morning.

Becki, the video directly below (going on one of Nikki's web pages tomorrow) shows my special little fuzzbomb giving me plenty of "titty" "tisses" (kitty kisses) set to the song, "Fight 'Em 'Till You Can't" by...o cummon you ought to know this one by now considering that I'm a known metalhead...

If you guessed, "Hozay Feliciano" ¡¡¡POR EL BIEN DE INFIERNO NO!!!

Just making my daily check-in from Federal Way WA. USA...I only have a quartet of updates planned for my website today...the first is an update to my mother's kitty Baby (Girl)'s web page to add a video showing her taking a long drink out of the large water tub we put outside to allow Bandi (the raccoon) and her mate to douche off their food & wash their hands, the next is an update to my "My Special Little Fuzzbomb Nikki!!! (Pg. 5)" web page to add a pair of videos that show her lavishing me with "titty" "tisses" (kitty kisses) {the video content is identical on each one, but one has an Anthrax choon and the other has no zax at all because not everybody who comes to my website is a metalhead and would appreciate the unwanted earwhipping}, the next is an update to "Our Semi-Domesticated Raccoon Bandi & her Babies"'s web page to add a video of Bandi and her mate eating dry dog food and douching off each individual nugget of dog food in the large tub of water that we set out for them so that they could wash their hands, and the last is an update to my "Foto(s) del Día" web page with...well, what else could it be? An expen$ive pseudo-3D RGB laser show projector ruined because some butt dumpling spilled an entire 2 litre bottle of Diet Dr. Pecker into it? An astrophotograph of Saturn's moon Titan taken by the Huygens probe that clearly shows a Borg sphere in Titan's upper atmosphere? An Olympic-sized swimming pool literally crawling with tens of thousands of mosquito wrigglers (larvae) that got that way because the pool's owner (somebody involved in extreme asshaberdashery never once bothered to put chlorine in it, drain it & douche it out with Chlorox, or even put a cover on the asinine thing for Christ sakes? No you silly goose! It's a new picture!!!

This is my special little fuzzbomb Nikki.

And this is my "Foto del Día".

A few days ago, a friend of mine was shopping at Wall-Mart when he was attacked by that stupid distended yellow talking pusbladder they have on their TV commercials. In disbelief that the yellow smiley was actually going around in a Zorro costume, knocking $H!7 over, and madly slashing at price signs, my friend grabbed a tennis racket out of Sporting Goods and whacked that smiley good! It let out a slight squeaky noise, and quietly rolled into the Pet Care products section.

After it crawled away and died in a cat box, I ran to Kitchenwares, grabbed a slotted spatula and scooped the cat box.

I went into the employee's can and dumped the dead Smiley in the toilet bowl,
flushed, and crammed it down with the toilet brush just to be on the safe side.

My weblog (or "blog" if you prefer) requires no updates as of this posting.

Ken Scheffel said {and I quote}:
Craig, I used to make my model, rubber band aircraft using balsa wood, tissue paper and "dope". I had to cut out the balsa using a single edge razor blade. Airplane glue was the new tube type glue, that no one sniffed. It was also very flammable, but dried very fast. Later I bought small alcohol powered motor and replaced the rubber bands. I never made any remote controlled aircraft, but watched many fly.

Good morning Ken,

I remember that model "dope" -- usually Testors brand -- and it was actually called 'model dope' too!!! It was in reality somewhat sniffable and was subsequently abused (as an inhalant drug) but while I enjoyed the odour while using it to assemble models, I did not partake in the "sniffing" fad.

My first foray into model aviation was making paper airplanes after church; I came up with one design that stayed airborne much, much longer than the "arrow-shaped" paper planes that were by far the most common design back then (the early- and mid-1970s). Mine was mainly square (when looking down at it from the top) with the front edges of the wings (both port and starboard) folded at a 45° angle; it also had the wingtips folded upward into a pair of short vertical stabilisers. If I remember, the fuselage was composed of a number of folds so that the plane was very stable in flight (it kept the CG well under the wings). I can no longer remember how I made it though, so I cannot attempt to make one now.

I've never tried substituting rubber-power with any type of motor, so that is something with which you have me beat (you have had experience with this while I have not).

Friday the 13th (07-13-12) {or "13 Jul 2012", or even "Tire-Bent-Stick, Stick-Boobs, Twenty Stick-Very-Twirly-Stick" if you prefer}.
Just making my daily check-in from Federal Way WA. USA...I only have a quartet of updates planned for my website today...the first is an update to my Pride® Celebrity X3 Scooter's web page to explain that the battery charger for it pooped out but that I successfully used the one for my Quickie Pulse 6 electric wheelchair, the next is an update to my 3CH. R/C Hughes Defender Coaxial Helicopter VIDEOS web page to add a video of three half-assed flights of the 3CH. R/C Hughes Defender Coaxial Helicopter that took place at Celebration Park in Federal Way WA. USA -- approx. 10 minutes away by scooter or electric wheelchair), the next is the addition of a video of a flight of my Tuffoam™ Fun Flyer ''Park Flyer'' R/C Airplane at a baseball field in the same park, and the last is an update to my "Foto(s) del Día" web page with...well, what else could it be? Another TV commercial mascot with its ass in a sling? YAY!!! YOU GOT ONE CORRECT!!!

This is my Pride® Celebrity X3 Scooter.

This is my 3CH. R/C Hughes Defender Coaxial Helicopter.

This is my Tuffoam™ Fun Flyer ''Park Flyer'' R/C Airplane.

And the following two are my "Fotos del Día".

Here are two ways to deal with that sickly-sweet Snuggles laundry bear.
It just loves dryers, so let's see how well it likes THIS one:

Hasta la vista, you sock-eating Snuggles piece of {vulgar slang term for a fudge bunny}!!!

DOWN THE {vulgar slang term for a fece}BOWL YOU GO!!
Note: If you buy a toilet, drop a stool in it for Christ sakes -- don't stuff a fracking teddy bear down there! You'll ruin the pipes for crying out loud!!!

My weblog (or "blog" if you prefer) requires no updates as of this posting.

This is a Friday the 13th; normally I'd go to the park to fly one or two R/C aircraft, but I'm a bit superstitious about Friday the 13th, so I'll very likely be staying home today -- though there is a slight but not insignificant chance that I'll fly my Syma S031G heli and my A-10 Thunderbolt II airplane later this morning anyway. It'll just be one of those, "wait & see" situations.

USA -- approx. 10 minutes away by scooter or electric wheelchair), the next is an update to my 3CH. A blood donation van with a disturbing picture on its side? YAY!!! YOU GOT ONE CORRECT!!!

This is how my 3CH. R/C Hughes Defender Coaxial Helicopter landed at the end of my most recent series of flights.

And this is my "Foto del Día".

Saw this van in Federal Way WA. USA in early-July 2012.
I don't know what's more disturbing: the red blood cell riding an itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow skateboard, or the red blood cell riding an itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow skateboard while showing us those "googly-eyes"!!!
It looks a bit pissed to me as well.

Craig, rubber band power was a 3/8 in thick, six to eight inch long rubber band attached to the inside tail strut and the prop which when twisted by the rotating prop could the be released to spin the prop and thus power the plane. The balsa and tissue plane had to be light weight. We also made carved models from basswood for display. I remember carving a Bell Cobra and a P 38.

Good morning Ken,

¡¡¡HUSOOS CRISTO EN UNA MULETA!!! blushThat's a huge condom band...er...uh...I mean rubber band!!!
I used to fly those pre-formed rubber-powered airplanes, but the rubber band powering them was never ***THAT*** large!!!

That P-38 must have been a real {term used to describe a female dog} to carve -- the P-38 Lightning is a fairly "complexicated" airplane!!!

Since the digiworld was found to not be wheelchair-accessible, I closed the digiport soon thereafter.

Good morning Craig. I saw on the news that you guys got a ot of rain up your way. How 'bout flying your planes and helli's over here with some? We live in a drought area so drought's are nothing new to us. Hubby found a opppossum in Mooch and Smokes 20lb bag of food this morning. The critter is buzzard bait now and the food is in a plastic bin with a lid.

And Slayer? Now's there's a band I haven't heaerd in a long time. Haven't made it to you tube yet but it's next if I can get Harley off the keyboard.

Good morning Becki,

We did get a little rain, but unless it came down harder at night while I was sleeping, I'd have never known about it. :-/

Did the opossum "play possum" before it was dispatched? LOL

Slayer is definitely what I'd call a mixture of thrash metal and death metal; they have some songs I simply won't play on Sundays. The band Skinny Puppy, though not a metal band, also has a song I won't play on Sundays called, "Church in Hell" -- for reasons I trust are rather obvious to you anyway. I set one of my Nikki videos to that particular song.

And this is my "Foto del Día".

When I took this picture, I had thought that it was two insects "doing the nasty"; now that I've seen the photo, I see it is just a single insect that has become worm food.

This photograph of it on an exterior wall of our home in Federal Way WA. USA was taken on the evening of 07-15-12 (or "15 Jul. 2012" or even "Jul 15, Twenty Stick-Very-Twirly-Stick" if you prefer).

I went to the park and flew the Defender PD-911 heli and my Transformers Starscream Micro Flyer yesterday. Both of them became broken; though with the heli it was only cosmetic damage (the housing for the "searchlight" {in reality, a 5mm white LED} became broken), and one of the wheels busted off the landing gear on my Starscream jet -- it still flies just fine when hand-launched however.
