What a way to ruin someone's holiday, But casting that lame a-hat Michael Bolton to RUIN some classic Christmas carol for Honda. Although it shows many would be customers leaving while he sang (ruined another song).

I honestly find it hard to believe he's actually being paid to be in commercials - I'd accept a theory where he was actually paying to be cast in commercials which tried to depict his voice as "sexy" far sooner.

The fact that Michael Bolton is getting paid for anything is a crime in itself. They should castrate his voice box for violations against the music industry.

If he sings in this thing it's going on mute instantly.

I always wondered who actually bought his records.  He was kind of a joke even during his day.  Same with Josh Groban.

Haven't seen the commercial on TV but I heard the radio ad about five times today and I'm ready to tear my hair out. If I have to hear him screeching about a winter wonderland one more time, I'm going to personally pay him a visit and rip out his vocal chords with my bare hands!

Are they trying to be "tongue-in-cheek" with this Michael Bolton stuff?  If so, it's not amusing.  Stop it, Honda.

I've seen two different ones now, and I have every reason to believe that they won't stop at two.

I used to be with it, then what I was with wasn't it any more, and what was it was weird and scary to me... and it'll happen to you.

Michael Bolton is one of those "artists" who think they're God's gift to music and think they can automatically improve over the original artists on every song they cover.

I honestly'd like to know what and why it happened that he's apparently undergoing a mini-resurgence.

First the Starburst commercial, and now this?

I've never fancied his music at all, and never saw why some ladies found him attractive at all.
Now, I think he resembles the actor Bill Nighy.....the only thing bad is that I don't think Mr. Bolton has Bill Nighy's wonderful sense of humour.

Is that what he had in his mouth while singing?  That would certainly explain a lot....  LOL

Maybe this years crap I meant crop of Christmas consumption commercials are so bad or, I remember one of the worst from Christmas 2010 but, this is the best Bolton has sounded. I'm not a fan of his music; I'm a red blooded straight middle aged male. But he makes the Christmas music only dreck as opposed to hurl inducing. And, I like the hotties dressed in miniskirt elf outfits with striped tights. Just for those of you who forget here's the worst Honda Commercial ever so far.
I approve this message.

I saw one of these damn travesties last night for the first time, one with Michael 'Douchehood Personified' Bolton sitting behind a piano.  I don't know what song he was botching up because at first sound of his ear piercing voice I hit the mute button.  Thankfully this thread was made beforehand, so I was prepared and wasn't caught off guard.

Yesterday, I came across Bolton's 1975 cover of Joe Walsh's Rocky Mountain Way.  It was when he was still going by his real name, Michael Bolotin.  I don't love it, but I don't hate it either.  I really like the fiddle in it.

The song has "wonderland" is in it, but it's not "Winter Wonderland" by any stretch. I can't stand Bolton's raspy, hoarse voice. I don't know how he ever got to record. I don't know anybody who has ever liked his "singing" or who has bought any of his records. How car companies think that their god-awful commercials would get anybody to buy their cars is totally beyond me. If anything, I'd deliberately NOT buy a car whose ad was especially annoying...

Mike. Antarctica with blowing snow at 100 mph plus cannot come close to how much you "blow"! If you really like blowing snow that much could you retire (permanently) to Tierra Del Fuego? If possible could you take Yanni with you.

I have always felt that Bolton was having a painful bowel movement when he sang.

I love my Honda Fit Sport, maybe the best or 2nd best car I've ever owned but Honda has the worst commercials overall of any car company.   They are boring, stupid, annoying or just plain don't sell their product. They need to get different ad company.

The one that I saw made it appear that we have never the left the 80s as a society. It made me very depressed.
