I apologize if someone's brought this up before. But I'm watching one of the greatest basketball series of all time (Western Conference Finals -- Spurs and Thunder, not a prima dona among the players, both teams deserve to win)  and they keep advertising TBS's horrible sitcoms.

The part that really ticks me off is that after hawking a PG-13 Faux-Apatow sitcom, they use this tagline.

"TBS. Very Funny."

The second least funny thing you can do is call yourself funny. It's only behind having a sitcom on TBS.

yeah, i was tired of getting bombarded by "Men at Work" advertisements too.  Looks like a very forced sitcom.  Like a homeless mans' version of Friends.   Would almost be tempted to watch the first episode just to see how horribly unfunny it is.

"Men at Work" is probably going to flop just like "Glory Daze" did. Judging by the commercials, they all seem like a bunch of uppity East Coast hipsters.

Forced is the right word. Even seeing the commercial made me think "Been there, seen that several decades ago and was only marginally funny then."

I was only suprised to know that they still make sitcoms.

There should be a Mystery Science Theater-type show with guys down front making snarky comments about some of these shows. I'd watch THAT!

The ads for Men at Work are really annoying.  They're interrupting the Celtics-Heat series (unfortunately Lebron is in a class by himself as prima donas go, the Heat definitely deserve to lose) for me. When you consider that they're showing their best stuff in these ads, Men At Work has the potential to be one of the worst shows ever.  Four guys trying to pick up girls..............how original.

Amen to that.  And the lead character looks like some sort of hipster douche, sweater vests and his beard.

Don't TV promos which promote sitcoms usually include a few of the show's funniest lines?  If the promos for Men at Work are doing precisely that, I give this show less than one season.

The scene I keep seeing is bearded guy chatting up some chick while his friends act like monkeys. Bearded guy is completely expressionless. Oh, the hilarity.

Yep, Banderboy...that's the one I kept seeing, too.  I just stared at that scene blankly, nowhere near the verge of cracking even a smile.  I just kept thinking, "is that the best I can expect??"

This show looks terrible. And what a coincidence that 3 of the characters look exactly like the guys from "The Hangover". The guy with the beard, the pretty boy, and the nerd with glasses. Very original there TBS.

You want to see BAD tv? Try TVLand during primetime. Firstoff, they add an additional EIGHT minutes of commercials to an already commercial cluttered thirty minute show. But wait there's more!
They show the same episodes of these shows for two days in a row. Want more?
As another comment mentioned about promos using the show's few funniest lines, these clowns are lazy too! After a week of being bludgeoned over the head to watch one of "their" new shows, I was working on the computer with the tv on in the background. The stupoid show came on, and all the "funny" lines used in  the promo were delivered in the first three minutes of the show. Does that mean there's no hope of anything funny yet to be said?
I think its a shame since they do run a few entertaining shows, but they're  shooting themsleves in the foot!!

What I hate about TBS are their commercials with Family Guy spots.  Especially the one with Stewie and I think it's the dog (I navigate away as fast as possible...I don't remember....) at the top of the stairs and Stewie won't let him past, and he's like "No-uh-uh-herewe-uh-no-uh" for what seems like 5 minutes.  It is hard to explain if you haven't seen it, but it's SO annoying!! Angry

Oh, it's easy to explain- the baby is all muscled up on steroids and is being a dick and won't let the dog past. Just like real life LOL

I see that one all the time.

At least with Family Guy commercials, I already know how to avoid them, not to mention THREE FULL HOURS of Family Guy? As if one episode isn't grating enough, let's run six in a row! As if some of us aren't already constantly flipping through the channels to avoid this show from six in the evening until four in the morning, what's three full hours when TBS could be running other shows for the other 2.5 hours?

I used to love TBS. A few years ago, late Friday nights, they'd run The Oblongs and other funny adult cartoons. Then they went on their old sitcoms kick, then their George Lopez kick. Now they're on their Family Guy kick. It's like TBS doesn't have its own identity with its "phases".

"Block Programming" (AKA "Marathons") was one of the factors that made me decide that subscribing to a Pay-TV Service was no longer worth it. They may be a great thing if you like that particular show, but what if that show isn't your cup of tea? Too Bad, that's all they're showing. Dead Of course the episodes they are running are heavily edited to cram in more commercials, so even if you like the show, you are still getting ripped off! Angry
