Ugh, the "Safelite Repair, Safelite Replace!" jingle is back, and it is heard (once again) on every commercial break on most channels I watch. Cry

The girl in this ad cracks me up when she looks at the crack on her windshield (at 0:05).  I mean, could she be any more dramatic?  It is as if she's immediately about to weep.  In reality, wouldn't it take a moment for it to register, and then she'd be sighing/rolling eyes/getting angry?  I dunno, that's what I'd do.  I'd not look at it as if I was witnessing a furry, cutesy puppy being eaten. LOL  It is as if she knew it was coming, and she was already prepared for her tragic performance.

It is also very obvious in the Youtube video (not so much on TV) that the crack was computer-generated.  There's no rock, or projectile seen until right before it hits the windshield!  Watch the upper-right corner of the screen as the crack 'forms.'  Nothing there!
Welcome to Commercial Land. This is a magical place where all women look up while eating, and it is perfectly acceptable to slurp the hell out of a Dannon yogurt cup.

I like when dad opens his wallet in an apparent attempt to pay the man, but then he is dramatically "waved off" as if to say this is a free service.

Maybe she freaked cause she was driving daddy's car.Shocked  I like the wallet thing too. Who does that?
Don't you want to pay via check or credit card for warranty purposes. Not to mention, they were on Safelite's website where could have read about it.

Have they really improved their magic crack-filling resin? I had one of their chip repairs done a couple years ago, and it pretty much sucked. I had the windshield replaced two weeks later.

Hundreds of threads killed.

The way he pounds the windshield with his fist, it'd better be fixed.

Look at when the father says, "really" and smiles.  Is it me or does it look like he has 3 times as many teeth in his mouth as a normal person would?

Glue ('resin' - wow!) is a temporary fix...when do the lawsuits start? Or, maybe better yet. one must wonder how the 'service agreement' legally reads....

Every time I've had a windshield crack I've lied to the insurance company and said that it was an unrepairable crack. I'm not taking any chances.

(From the Safelite call center.  Nobody ever learned how the crack got on the windshield in the first place.  The Safelight tech should be happy he didn't have to fill it....)

Safelite Operator:  "Hello, this is Safelite.  How may we help you?"

Girl: <frantic>   "There's a crack on my windshield!"

SO:  "Calm down.  We can send someone over right away to fix it."

G:  <still frantic>  "No! No!  I mean there's a guy's naked butt on my windshield!"

SO:  <long pause>  "Maybe you should call 911 instead."

I love it when he gives that cheese smile and says, 'really'. Cracked me up. He has 3 times WIDER teeth than most people. not 3 times as many. But good observation.

Also his gap could hold enough luggage for air force one.

The man is too ugly for words.  Maybe that's why the girl was so horrified, because she'd have to look her father right in the face to tell him.

I remember my exact thoughts when I saw Mr.  Toothy:

I guess there really is someone for everyone.

That's what my mama always said.

I find this to be a pleasantly badly done commercial.  The expression on the girl's face at the crack, cracks me up, no pun inten... OK, pun intended.
The ridiculous hand wave at the wallet, then the dad's dopey pleased look is priceless.  LOL
