Goodbye, little girl, hope you're resting well. We had to put her down today, she had cancer. She was getting weak.

I haven't posted pics here I however have a picture of her cuddling with Faloon in a little bed on the bed on my phone. I just need to figure out how to transfer that picture to the forum. Hmmmmm...

You just need to go to Photobucket or Postimage, open an account, it's free.
Providing you have the pictures stored on your computer.
If your click and drag skills are good you should have no problem.

If you use postimage.org (no sign-up necessary), you can select images to upload either from your computer or the internet.

In this case, you first you have to get the picture into the photo file in your computer.

Cat, a very sweet little cat, Siamese applehead breed. Even though she was weak she was sweet up to the very end. Luckily I had a little quality time with he. Her nickname was "Lil' Cuddleuptikus" because she cuddle with you especially my Mom. Sad. We all cried.

It sucks when your pet crosses the Rainbow Bridge. You can never replace the pet you lost, but you learn to love the new pet. Heres a list of my pets during my lifetime

Butch (Boxer, 1959 - 1966)*

Tammy (Silver Miniature Poodle -1966 - 1979)

Samba (Labrador/Shepherd Mix 1970 - 1983)

Benji (White Toy Poodle 1986 - 2001)

Angie (Black Toy Poodle 2001-2010)

Sammy (White Toy Poodle 2010 -)

* Butch was born in 1953, I was born in 1959.

I think I'm going through the 5 stages of grief. I'm past remorse and into acceptance.

Sorry for your loss. We went through losing a cat back in January. Sucks losing the little family.
Say something clever here...

My most sincere condolences, Ad nauseous! Cry
I know I'll be heartbroken when my little sweetie Nikki crosses the Rainbow Bridge...it sucks to lose family members, whether they're bipedal or quadrupedal & furry.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

So sorry for your loss, Ad Cry  May little Itsy Bitsy Jones rest in peace and now free from the pain of cancer.  It sounds as though she lived a very long, fulfilling, loving life provided by you, which is something she was and will be eternally grateful for.

Damn. I only just looked at this thread now, because when I saw it earlier, I thought it was about some old 1950's singer or musician or something like that.

I am terribly sorry to hear about you losing your sweet kitty.

All you can do is try to find a little bit of relief in that she's not suffering anymore.

I noticed something! Its a lot quieter in here! There's no screaming Itsy Bitsy wanting to be fed! Sad. 13 years is a long time! It doesn't feel like it. At least I got to spend time with her. Thought she'd live a lot longer!

Having to have a pet put down has just got to rip your guts out.

I just could not imagine having to do something that difficult.

I hope I never do.

We just stayed long enough for the needle that made her sleep. We didn't stay for the needle that ended her life. Thankfully. Still made it hard for us.

When Killer went bad, the rooms were all occupied, so the vet took me into the back area where all the work gets done.  It was something that just couldn't wait.  He was in pain and soooo terrified.  Anyway, I dunno how they coordinated this, but all the various workers stopped what they were doing and watched from around the room as Killer was put to sleep.  I didn't even realize this until it was all over, and I saw everyone standing there so sympathetically and respectfully.

I always think how he was just fine that morning till suddenly, he wasn't.  But I was glad I was with him to the very end.  He'd been such a little buddy.

My sincerest, heartfelt condolences to you and your family.  Itsy Bitsy Jones will always be in your heart, and waiting for you on the other side.  You did right by her to let her leave this world with dignity with no more pain to suffer.

Yeah, it wasn't any easier though. I f@#king hate cancer! Today is the week anniversary. My dad told us he cried passing the vets office. Oddly he thought it was Friday! Damn I wish that was kinda true, I'm a bit less emotional about it. I'm not sad about, well actually LESS sad about it. There's still a hole in the household, a noticeable one.

Oh, Ad, I am so very sorry to see that you lost your Itsy Bitsy Jones.  She sounds as though she had a wonderful life and was loved dearly by you and your family.

It is so hard to lose our furry companions under any circumstances.  They love us unconditionally and completely, and they are a blessing in our lives.

She will always be with you, in your heart, and be assured,  you will see her again.
