I love Publix cakes and Publix Premium ice cream. They are so good, that I constantly push it on here. The cake is the best cake I have ever eaten, so fresh, soft, and buttery/ sugary, and the Publix Premium ice cream is rich and creamy, and even better tasting than National ice cream brands!

You are quick to give away something you don't have.
We all have to use some imagination to participate, your gifts are just vast nothingness.
Like most of the words you type, it's a fantasy world.

If you're gonna shove products in our face, then let me say you haven't lived until you tried Stop & Shop's 4 layered German Chocolate Cake!

Publix supermarkets are not in the North East region of the country so I can't give an opinion on the products. I WILL say, however, that when my MIL lived in Florida, we'd stop in both Publix and the Lion King. Both stores were spotless and the workers were incredibly efficient and friendly.

You don't find that in New York supermarkets. It's more like "NEXT! Move along.... I SAID DO YOU HAVE ANY COUPONS???"

Do you own stock in Publix? Donna. I get sick of you bringing it up all the time.

Now here are some cakes, be warned, these cakes are not for children, or squeamish, or sensitive, or easily offended people.  Did I cover everything there?

Wegmans store cakes are hands down the best cakes ever.  And I believe they are only in the NE.

Here is one of the cakes Publix makes...

And here is a link to their cake page with thumbnail images of the rest...

http://ww2.publix.com/food/catalog/Bakery/DecadentDesserts/Home.do

They really do make some incredible stuff.

And Madz is right, they are the among the cleanest & most polite grocery stores you'll ever visit.

Politeness to customers is one of their biggest concerns. I doubt that their employees get more than two or three strikes in the way of complaints about rudeness or attitudes.

I doubt that I'd last a week there....

I'll believe you (whoever) if you say they're good, but elaborate or beautiful doesn't necessarily equal good, in my experience.  It may equal art, but that doesn't mean it's gonna be good.

I once got an "Italian Cream Cake" from Walmart that was one of the best cakes I've ever had.  Nothing special to look at, either.

They (Publix) make em in the store everyday, so they're always fresh.

Good quality, too.

They also make killer NY style cheesecake.

And don't even get me started on their deli & their subs!!!!

Aye yi yi!!!!

I don't like it when Donna talks about Publix, Fiends, and I won't go on.
At least some people can post a picture to get the message across.
His obsession with it just makes me wonder what he is trying to accomplish.

Are you helping to prepare supper tonight, Donna?

I've never had a Publix anything, that I'm aware of... they just don't come to these parts. As far as a store-made cake goes around here, about the best I've had recently came from Costco.

Only problem is that it only comes in one size, Pool Table. You need to be having a party for 80 or more people (an exaggeration, but not by a lot) to bother buying one.

Same here.  But it doesn't sound very good.  "Publix" makes it sound like it's government-issued cake, which would probably be something like this:

 or this

Yeah, doesn't sound all "classy" like Safeway and Savemart where you shop...

Try to reign in your jealousy because that's the only kind of cake you can get at Savemart!!!!

We have a small family owned supermarket - I think they're up t about 8 stores in the area. DeCicco's. Their bakery looks very similar to the photos Jimbo posted. I am THISCLOSETOGOING and buying myself a cake. And I don't crave cake that much (I'm a cookie kinda gal) but those photos sure did it.

DAMMIT someone hand me a cookie!

^  Here ya go.  I've been on this kick for awhile.  They're delicious, and like $1.79 for a pound and a half!

Actually, my favorites are Pepperidge Farm Apricot-Raspberry butter cookies.  But I can't put those down, so I avoid them.

Expanding on what AKA Ron said, it's the silly incessant "role-play" quality of it.

I don't mind things like that now and again -rests forehead on palm- and sometimes it helps convey a point better than words alone, but the way he does it is so excessively cutesy and leading, like he wants someone to play into the game.

Publix cakes and ice cream are good, but not for Donna to be constantly and obsessively raving about how excellent they are. I don't know why Donna is so extremely obsessed with those cakes and ice creams....

Yeah. Donna even raving about the cakes and ice cream in his signature is kind of disturbing. Who the f**k gets that excited about store brand cakes and ice cream?
