What WOULD have made this commercial a classic would be the chainsaw juggler tossing a saw to 'Mr. Empowered'.
So sorry, sells me no insurance.

Why does it always have to be "sassy fat black woman" playing these types in ads? Her husband is also a huge pile of sh*t for DISTRACTING a dude performing with chainsaws. Way to be horrible people all around.
It's ok, I'm in marketing!

This commercial makes no sense anyway. What does the juggler have to do with the power to name your own price? I could get it if the guy was trying to name his own price at a store or a casino or something.

This commercial would only make sense if you possessed the less than zero IQ of an AdTard.

You know how they could change this to sell me on their insurance? Here goes:

In an altered ending, Flo gets a surprise visit from "Mr. Empowered". Still high off his empowerment, he goes crazy on Flo, and the screen fades to black as we hear her screams. That last panel where the saw cuts through the white paper would still be there, albeit this time accompanied by red splatters of blood.

It would be the last commercial we ever see from her again.

No, what would make this one a classic is showing a flashback of him practicing juggling giant vibrators....  LOL

If you have to ask, you are NOT allowed to watch the video.
Don't watch it, Cod - and don't lie to me.
You didn't watch it, did you, Cod? That'd be just all wrong.

Wouldn't an insurance company refuse to cover your husband if you admitted he's a f*cking idiot who tries to juggle chainsaws with no training?

There are no series of commercials that I hate more than this one. And yet, a great many people must like them because they've made a ton of them and they play constantly every day. I presume people are writing in, professing their love and adoration for Flo.

I can understand all the ads with the T-Mobile girl. She's hot. But Flo just looks like your crazy-never-been-married aunt who drinks too much. Hey Progressive, why would I be inclined to purchase insurance from a company who thinks this woman is a good spokesperson? Are you saying you're the "zany" insurance option? Don't want zany when my car is smashed. And Geico, I want to buy your insurance because you pitched me with a Geccko? State Farm: I don't believe if I say an incantation my agent will magically appear. But thank you all for assuming we consumers can only be pitched via the lowest common denominator.

Clap You, have taken the words out of my mouth! I wish they would listen but it seems they're stuck in their own little bubble where where they think they're great and everybody thinks they're great too, no matter what happens. It's like an ultra narcissism.Clap

Scarface chainsaw murder was kind of like the original Psycho murder. Show weapon. Show blood. Leave the rest up to the viewer's imagination which can be worse than graphic dipiction.
