Recently, I was flipping past CNN Headline News channel, to see that it is now called just HLN.    WTF?    They now call the f**king network "HLN"?    I guess they need a sh*tty name to match their sh*tty programming.   They've sucked ever since "Nancy Grace", "Glen Beck" and "Showbiz Tonight" was added to the lineup.    They even have a sh*tty new bug:

This brings me to my rant.    I HATE moronic abbreviations of serious things.   Another one that drives me batsh*t crazy is "Nat Geo".    I turned on the National Geographic Channel.   Based on the established National Geographic magazine, not "Nat Geo", which sounds like some kids crap.

Get these stupid kindergarten names off my TV!!!
And what a shock, "WaMu" went under this year.   Whoo-hoo!! LOLLOLLOLLOLLOL

WaMu still exists.  But their commercials now say, "And now that we're a part of Chase . . . ".

But at least the "Whoo-Hoo" is gone.   Plus, i assume eventually it will all fold into the buyer's company.

I don't mind "HLN" it sounds cool to me, it rolls off the tongue easier, I even like the bug, However Nat Geo just pisses me off sounds like a bad rave club name. Why not NG? why the half words? and WTF is wrong with the name National Geographic?

I heard an American Family Insurance commercial use the word "AmFam." I was left speechless.

It looks like CNN/TBS went to the same graphic designer who created the current TNT logo to makeover Headline News. They are both UGLY logos. Personally, the only network makeover I really like has to be that of The Discovery Channel.

At least HLN is honest about their slogan (News and Views), that all of their shows aren't hard news. Shouldn't the other cable news networks follow them and start referring themselves as "news and opinion networks?" As far as HLN's programming, I feel as if I lost some brain cells every time I watch them (and this was the case before their name change).

Soon "HLN" will just be "H" because they feel HLN is too long and is 'uncool.' LOL

"Nancy Grace... tonight on H!"
