As if playing constant replays of the same show over and over wasn't enough. ION has these stupid (feel good about spending your money with our sponsors) primers for the actual commercial.
I guess as a bottom feeder here who doesn't want to pay for TV service, I deserve it!

Maybe they think these ads will make you think they care about you?

I will be fine as long as I know my friends and fiends here care about me.

What? Is Kohl's too cheap to do their own commercials now? Those tips on back-to-school shopping are really important, aren't they?
1. Don't wait until the last minute.
2. Shop and order online.
3. Let your brats write all over the new crap you had to buy for them. It makes them feel creative and special. Plus, maybe they can recognize their backpack among a pile of backpacks if they are ever out of their hands (or backs). Let you darling child personalize their notebooks. Like they're not going to do it anyway.
4. Spend even more money that you don't really have on a Back To School Party!!! Make going back to school FUN!
How INSPIRING!

I had to look at the commercial twice to find the interracial couple. I knew there had to be one in there somewhere.

Going back to school probably is fun---for Mom, who's probably sick and tired of the brats being home all goddammed summer, whining and asking for ice pops and crap like that.

I missed it. Yep, saw it on rewatch. Blonde-haired white dad and black mom with lighter-skinned black kids. They even got an Asian kid in in the hallway scene.

I had a deprived childhood. I never got a back-to-school party to show how fun school is thrown for moi.
Yeah, adtards, it called a Graduation Party. The whole f**king summer was a party, wasn't it? Vacations, summer fun, swimming pool trips, playing all day (and night), getting to visit your other parent on extended visitation because your parents got divorced, etc.

*Edit, that video finally loaded. Oh f this, a "Back to school party?" I didn't have this crap when I was a kid. Labor Day came, summer is over...next day was school. I was sad. Tough, that's life!
Another example of the pussification of America and sensitive kids. __ I watch ION sometimes, it's an odd channel. They'll show hours and hours of Law and Order SVU with grim detailed rape cases, Criminal Minds with psycho killers, CSI..more murder.
Then show commercials like "Values- Pass it on" I'll watch and dose off sometimes, wake up at 4, 5am and they are airing TV evangelist shows, like this crook. Somehow I end up watching this...no idea why. It's almost comical how incredibly f'ing fake they are.

^^^Isn't that 'Camp Meeting', or something like that? "Let me lead you to the light for a price"?
I can watch some of the Criminal Minds reruns on ION and only a few of the L & O as I probably have seen all of them so many times I've memorized the scripts, but yea - ION has gone from my 'afternoon background noise' to a channel I avoid.

I only had 1 graduation ceremony. High School. A couple of buddies had an apartment since our junior year so it was pretty much a normal Friday night party with a few extra people coming and going. Now it's Pre-School, Kindergarten, Elementary, Middle, and High School graduation ceremonies.

So it's an ad for Ebates. I thought she was saying eBay. Then it sounded like it's not eBay's business model. Then they have the logo at the end. Maybe perky priss should enunciate more clearly. Jus' sayin.

Positively Entertaining? DO ANY OF YOU NUMB NUTS WATCH YOUR OWN PROGRAMMING???
I'm positive, I'm not being entertained!
Again, I struggle to find a show I have not seen before.

ION is one of those "shows-in-syndication dumping ground" channels

Since we dumped cable TV, ION (over the air) has been watched often on weekends in this household. The NCIS: Los Angeles reruns, especially. It's sad how they've turned into a 'MyNetworkTV' of sorts...I remember when they used to be the home for Supermarket Sweep, Sue Thomas: F.B. Eye and It's a Miracle in the PAX days! At least they don't show 15 hours of infomercials, unlike 15 years ago...
------------- Back after a long absence...still hating those commercials. Go away Limu Emu and Doug!

There is a new one out that's going to reshape humanity and how young people shop for the holidays. I can't find it! Here's one from the spring...
I don't like this podunk network trying to tell me how to live!! I hate f*cking Lowe's!
Lowe's, is a close second to Liberty Mutual for the most idiotic, retarded marketing strategies on the planet!

Absolutely true...they exist to 'fill blank time' for those that have nothing more to do and need some 'bubblegum for the brain'.

Bubble pack wrap?
This is NOT the commercial I just saw on my broadcast idiot boob tube TV. But, you should get the idea.
I just have to thank the FA, like he will even see this, for giving me a place to vent. A place to complain about all of these stupid commercials! Do they think we are idiots? It also makes me think and try to tell others what I think. It's good for my brain and my dexterity.
Plus, I have been able to get to know many very nice people! You all know who you are!

Of course I agree 100%. I have an unrelated question. Where is everyone? You, Jimbo, and myself are the only posters today!

Some of us had doctor's check-ups...you know, breathing, post-rates, memory tests (how many boards do I remember belonging to?), all that good stuff...who are you again?
