I just saw this ad for the first time yesterday.

Or I should say, I saw the first five seconds or so of it because as soon as the gal opened her little miss smarty pants mouth I hit the previous channel button on my remote and made it disappear.

And come on... who leaves their box of stool softener capsules lying right on top of their grocery bag so anyone can see it anyway???

Gawd, I hate these phony-ass attempts at manipulating me!!!

Like when I'm driving in my car

And some man comes on the radio

Telling me more and more

About some useless information

Supposed to fire my imagination

Or when I'm watchin' my tv

And a man comes on and tells me

How white my shirts can be

But, he can't be a man 'cause he doesn't smoke

The same cigarettes as me

I can't get no...

Hey hey hey!!!

That's what I say!!!

LOLMaybe they escaped from the local Amish community and got married yesterday.

Personally, I don't see needing Senekot considering how much salad, olive oil and fish I consume.

aka ron, I've been using Postimage as recently as this morning.

Maybe your link is broken.

Have you tried typing Postimage into Google then opening it from there?

Sometimes a bookmarked link just goes bad.

But Postimage is up and working.

Maybe if her husband would stop injecting her butt with his man-cement it wouldn't dry up and get all crusty, forming a plug that blocks her poop.

This ad aired shortly after the Senekot one. Ads and more ads about not being able to take a crap!

Does mine.

Only time I had a problem like this was after having a massive dinner at Carrabba's in 2009. Dear Lord I don't know what the hell was in this food other than tons of fat, salt and who knows - not sure if I want to.

By day 5 I was sitting there at 9pm at night...trying and trying..the cold / hot sweats sitting there - this pain that I have never experienced in my life -  I thought my appendix was about to explode and was seriously considering driving myself to ER.

I'd get up and walk around the house in circles to ease the pain. My mom brought me Milk of Magnesia and Miralax. Screw it, I drank them both! 5 hours later it was like the failed levees in NOLA in my bowels after Katrina.  The relief was incredible.

And no...I never ate at Carrabbas again!
(Yeah I know...cool story bro. But TMI)

Maybe I should try some on my cat Mal.  He's having problems.  I watched him try to sh*t earlier, and some came outta the hole, but he couldn't push it all the way out.  It went back in.

I took him right to the vet.  The vet stuck his fingers in and got a big piece out.  Then he gave him a laxative for the rest.  I'm waiting for that to do its magic.  He also gave him a water injection to hydrate him.

Sadly, he's lost another pound (since his last visit two months ago).  He doesn't have much time left.

WinkMix small amount of mineral oil (really cheap in any grocery store, near laxatives) in his food - check with vet, if unsure, but it worked for my mini-dachshund on her way out. Did it for months, but if there was too much, she smelled it and ignored her food. Just the right amount? She crapped a storm.

My female calico has gotten skinny as can be. I started feeding her more wet food, specifically this "stew" type food that comes in foil envelopes. Says it's for older cats 15+ y/o. Then I feed them both the regular evening canned food.

One things for sure about this cat... skinny as she is, she has no problems in the sh*t dept.

She sh*ts turds that are fatter than she is!!!

I have no idea where inside her they come from!!!

You might also want to try some canned pumpkin (not spiced) for the kitties.  You can mix it into their wet food.

I once had a cat (yes I did!) that LOVED cantaloupe and tomatoes. She would lose her mind if anyone left unfinished rinds on the floor and would just make a mess of herself with tomatoes.

WinkWho needs Senekot when one can fix a veggie/fruit smoothie like I did for everyone tonight?

1/2 batch fresh kale
2 granny smith apples
2 tbls fresh squeezed lemon juice
1 seedless cucumber
1/2 bottle of fresh (NOT from concentrate) orange-pineapple juice
bowl of black seedless grapes (those ones shaped like Vienna sausages)
10-12 large strawberries
some mango slices
bunch of ice

Drink up and enjoy a full-blown natural body buzz

Maaaaaaaaaan! I just came back from taking a 'backwards tissue test' and I feel great!

The vet recommended that, too.  I'll buy some today.

I didn't find any crap or diarrhea in the litter box or around the house this AM.  His butt fur, however, is wet, so he had some leakage.

He didn't eat anything last night or this morning.  Not even treats.  Maybe he's physically upset from the laxative/trip to the vet.  But if he doesn't start eating soon, well...

I gave him some of that a few weeks ago.  He liked it.  Then I tried it again, and he wasn't real interested.  These days, I give him whatever he'll eat.  I give him as many treats as he wants.  I add water to his wet food, too.

You just can't make cats eat if they don't want to.

The doc thinks there might be something else going on (maybe cancer) because of his weight loss.  But he said even if he tested him for that, it wouldn't make much difference.  I just have to face the fact that he's 15 and a half.

I'm so sorry about your little Mal.  One of my two cats was just diagnosed with early stage kidney disease and now she has the prescription diet.  She's 15 now, will be 16 in January.

Maybe you could try mixing some of it with his treats.

I don't know what's in it that aids kidney function, but if you can get him to eat it, it might help a little bit.

The Carrabba's story reminded me of what Jeff Foxworthy said about his colonoscopy experience (the preparation part):

"I passed everything I had eaten in my entire life!
I passed things I only thought about eating!
I passed things my neighbors had eaten!
I passed a red bicycle we keep in the garage; how did I do that?!
And an hour later, what was coming out of me could legally be declared 'mountain spring water'!"

Big smile

Doc ruled out kidney problems, so the kidney treats/food isn't necessary.  At this point, I'll just give him whatever he'll eat.  That's always tough, 'cuz I never know what he might be in the mood for (and when).

I just came home from work.  The cats' bowls were still full with this morning's wet food. So, I gave them fresh food, and Mal licked it a bit.  Then he went over to his treats bowl.  Gave him about 25 treats, all of which he ate.  Go figure.  I'm just glad he ate.

Thanks, DRS.

Mine are 2 months younger than yours.

During his visit to the vet in July, the doc thought he might have kidney disease.  So he gave me some starter kidney food.  Then he got the test results back and called to tell me they were negative---no need for any special diet.

LOLLOL

That's sick!

Poor old Mal, glad he ate his treats!

That's what was tough about Leah, she was still sharp mind wise, no problems with appetite or digestion.

Sassy as ever, she got lots of treats toward the end.  She just couldn't walk.

If the cat is elderly, don't rule out bad teeth.
Sometimes hard to diagnose...

Fancy Feast makes a "Gravy Lovers" variety.
You might give that a try if you haven't already.

Thanks.  Doc doesn't think so, especially because he likes the dry food and treats.

I give him the Fancy Feast.  Also, Friskies makes a variety called Gravy Sensations.  They also make Cat Concoctions, which have a lotta sauce (the flavors are disgusting, but the cats like it).
