All this chest-pumping by Chevy makes me wonder how many of us actually drive one? How many have any of us owned?

1.) I do not drive one.

2.) I have only ever owned *1* Chevy

My first car was a 68 El Camino, my current vehicle is an 07 Silverado P-U.

A lot of GM products in between. We have a Ford too.

I had a Chevy Chevette back in the 80s.  It ran like crap and the floor rotted and fell out.  Literally, not figuratively.  Oh, and a Chevy Monza.  Fkn deathtrap that seized up when I was driving down the mass pike to go to a concert one lovely Friday evening.

Chevys have tried to kill me more than once.

WHY?!! Enough is enough! Potsch Boyd needs to find something else to do and this campaign needs to die. How about they go back to...I don't know, a voiceover telling us about an all-new car with shots of the car in motion? No idiotic 'actor people', it just tells you about the car and what features it has.

This commercial series only serves to elevate the already high level of suck I assign Chevy Products in my mind.... I have been amazed at their continued gall in these ads; since 2008 and the economic downturn,  they kept pushing overpriced, gaudy and cheaply made Avalanche, " Escalades", with their plastic emblems , and made that stupid, "Bow Tie" emblem on trucks so obnoxiously oversized it looks like some kind of counterweight. Clearly this company is out of touch with any sort of taste because of its monstrous size or has 90 year old designers making these sh*tty decisions.  The megacheese put in these commercials is perhaps influenced by some big exec sticking his head in the door during a planning meeting for these commercials, "Hey, list all the rewards people don't give a sh*t about, and FYI, We're making that f**king plastic bowtie EVEN Bigger than last years, like 10 inches long baby, so all can see you know? No, we haven't fixed out cheaply made electronics...lets sell, sell, sell!"  I visualize the metrosexual with his grey slacks and elf shoes getting his smashed to pulp via a War Hammer sporting Wildling stepping through a time and parallel universe portal, just as they are reading off their,"Awards".

Some of these ads are not as bad as others, but the stench of suckage from the really bad ones adds a well deserve taint to the not so bad ones.
Have any of you ever known any "real people" who get that excited about pickup trucks?

I know a real person who got excited about foam cutout alphabet letters.
My nephew.  Age-2.  Wanted to wet them and stick them on the bathtub.

I guess that pretty much sums up your answer!  LOL

Very funny parody videos!  LOL

I like the one for the OIC drug M-somethin'.  He asks Frank if he wants to stop being constipated (naturally without the new drug) or stay high on opioids all day.  Tongue

This commercial is still on the air! How long will it go before the next installment of 'Real Actors, Not Smart'?

I saw a slight different take on an old Malibu ad this morning.  Hipster d-bag asks "describe this car in one word" The girl immediately says "Swanky"  STFU!!

AND...once again the a-holes yelling "Wow, Wow, Wow..." is back again. It stopped for a few weeks. These adtards at Chevy apparently have run out of ideas, or finding "real people" wanting to be in this sh*tty commercials.

Side note, the latest commercials for Honda are diving me nuts. Some nasally voiced whiny little twit - something about the "Dream Garage sale" Where the hell do they get these people!!
