Folks: Cool

I hate with a passion ALL Liberty Mutual car insurance commercials featuring the smug and self-assured actors with the Statute of Liberty in the background. It grates me to have these individuals smugly explaining why you were so stupid to choose an insurance company other then Liberty Mutual.

The commercial featuring the woman who named her car "Brad" is so annoying and grating that I have to hit the "mute button" each time it appears. I want to duck tape her mouth shut, punch her senseless, and then do "my happy dance" on her unconscious body! Ouch

I see you're new here. Welcome.

"Brad" and Liberty Mutual rants are fairly common around here, and there have been many posts on the subject.

I just wanted to point out however, that your proposed use of duct tape, punching, and subsequent victory "Happy Dance" don't go nearly as far as most others here.
You might want to re-think your options...

Thank you for the "welcome!" Smile

I knew I could not be the only individual who found the Liberty Mutual commercials so annoying!

I deliberately kept my response "mild" as I didn't want to go "all Ninja" with my first post out of the blocks! Wink

Good post. One thing already addressed is that the actors are all speaking to someone else. They did not personally experience bad insurance coverage. My hate is caused by Liberty Mutual giving the impression that their product has much better coverage when they are talking about added coverage which is also available from their competition for similar additional prices.

My thoughts:

In a prior post, I suggested that Lady Liberty get off her pedestal and go "whack-a-mole" this Brad bitch into the pavement, in part, for ruining her good name.

Although... I suppose Lady Liberty knows how to use duct tape.
Could be entertaining if done right...?

Helloooo!  I mean come on, she just tapped the bumper of that damned station wagon that dared to be occupying the space that she wasn't paying attention to.  It's no big deal!  This little entitled freak DESERVES accident forgiveness.  By virtue of being alive and being herself, she's earned it.

Yea, for me, this one's worse than Brad.  Not by much, but definitely worse.

Torque ratios, spreadsheets? Who does that?  Then she blames the insurance company because she slammed the car into a tree.
Wonder if she was wearing those high heels as she certainly can't walk on grass with them.

I'm glad someone else noticed the "walk". I hate this commercial more than the other Liberty Mutual ads. If just happen to Slam your new car into a tree" chances are you shouldn't have been driving un the first place.

Ah, Liberty, how I hate thee and thy shills. Here is my routine:

There's the oriental (Japanese?) girl, who tells me I pay my insurance premiums "like clockwork"...clucks like a chicken...bawk BAWK bawk. I then strut around the kitchen, bawk BAWK bawk! bawk BAWK bawk! Hah, jokes on you, NO I DON'T!! SOMETIMES I DON'T PAY AT ALL!!! HA HA!!

Then there's the black couple who are PERFECT drivers!!! Poor guy looks like he's about as dumb as a brick wall and more henpecked than a barnyard! I'd hate to be married to either one of those clowns.

The self-righteous office monster in her high heels, man she is the WORST! Struts around with her ass stuck out, reminds of that hen that was always chasing after Foghorn Leghorn. Her name was Prissy, I think. Yup, that's Miss Prissy, to a tee! HA HA!!! I strut around the kitchen for a while with my ass stuck out when I see her LoL

Then there's the brown-bagging office douche who drinks GALLONS of coffee, probably over-exaggerates EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE. He's a punchable fellow, ain't he? LOL

I don't see Brad much, but I'd like to push her over that railing. She's a clinger. Girlfriend from hell, that one.

Let's see, did I miss anyone?

They are going after the bitter flag-waving irresponsible Tea Party types who blame others for their misfortunes. Hence they love to show their ads during sporting events when they are watching.

The one with the girl who names her car is supposed to represent the sports dude's stupid girlfriend who names her car or wife who's likely watching with him or has joined in the rah-rah.

AND there is a new one: blue shirt guy who tells me I slammed into a deer. Another "leaning against the rail" a la "Brad" style.

"Dear" Liberty Mutual and your sh*t faux fear inducing Bots: your commercials only make me hate you with a passion that exceeds every other consideration that might make me even CONSIDER buying insurance from you. You could offer me insurance for a mere dollar a month, and I would *STILL* say, "No, just No." Hell, if you OFFERED to PAY ME to be insured by you, I would laugh in your face.

Dear Readers: Think about this here: Liberty sh*t Insurance spends TENS of MILLIONS of dollars on their ad campaigns. If they pulled back only 1/10 of that effort, we'd all have lower premiums. Same with Geico, State Farm, and on and on. These people are SLIME. I'm going with the GENERAL, or maybe MINI MO, no, scratch those....

I'm going to set up my own freaking insurance company, that promises not to spend ONE FREAKING DIME on television commercials, or other commercials, pure word of mouth. WHO IS WITH ME? TIME TO TAKE THESE PIKERS DOWN A NOTCH!!!!!!!

I agree. Seems like I can't get away from their crappy "Same format" commercials. I try to change the channel if I'm close to the remote. Many times they have another one of their piece of crap commercials on my alternate channel. Sickening to see them all. Unfortunately I have a Liberty policy. I'm going to cancel it soon & will tell them that I'm doing it because I can't get away from their commercials. Who wants to be pounded by this crap all day long.

Telling someone that it is OK to destroy your car at no ones fault but your own is not only irresponsible but, an insult to those of us who do NOT name our cars, do NOT slam them into a tree as soon as we buy them, learn how to parallel park...If you think you are going to get great understanding from Liberty Mutual AFTER your first accident, you WON'T be doing a "happy dance"!

You're in good company...with Commercials We Hate!

Liberty is by far, the most egregious commercial insurance abuser of false advertising. They spend TRILLIONS spewing this crap, day after day, across all channels, 24/7. My mission in life is to discover their advertising budget. This company is a RACKET on the level of a RICO...they need to be sued for churning insurance funds into their advertising budgets. These bitches need to go DOWN, and I am leading the charge, investigating their revenues v. payouts. Here's a bonus for you, if you want to help do something about it:

Every time any of these commercials air, there is, at the end, a toll-free number, that changes with every commercial. Each and every different style of commercial has a different toll-free number for the unwitting to call for "a quote". Write down the numbers you see. Post it here, or email them to 2ADHellen @ gmail dot com . I am collecting all the phone numbers they use, setting up a RICO / false advertising / insurance abuse action. These f**kers need to be STOPPED, but they cannot be stopped without YOUR help.

Again, post here or email me the 800 / 888 or other phone number you see at the end of any Liberty commercial you see. You don't have to listen or watch, just note the number shown at the end, and post it here or email it to me. We gonna take these f**kers DOWN, once and FOR ALL.

If you can, call the number you see as soon as it is aired, and scream at them: f**k OFF.

Together, we can stop the Liberty sh*t. I will soon be posting some email addresses of their corporate f**ks, and an "all" employee list, so that we all together can let them know we are NOT going to put up with this B$ any more. Join the fight....or not. Yours, Hellen.

Aren't asian women notoriously known for bad driving skills? Then why is she so shocked she ended up in a ditch? She nearly totals a car because she was driving too fast for conditions, and then doesn't even know what to do when she starts to hydroplane. Poor little princess.

Most likely, it's a way for Liberty to gauge the effectiveness of their ads (or lack thereof).
You'll sometimes see this with web addresses too.
It'll have the usual URL, followed by a /TV30 or something like that.

We probably have years of watching these commercials before Liberty will quit making the same style. How stupid. I try to change channels to get away from them and alarmingly there will be another one on my alternate channels. Absolutely repulsive. If they would just spend a few more hundred million maybe they could occupy ALL the commercial spots. It pisses me off so bad, I canceled my policy with them. I did get a better rate ! HAH ! Geico has way too many commercials but a few of them are actually entertaining. Allstate is another agitator by using the same spokesperson for years. If he dies they will probably computer generate his voice for future commercials. They wouldn't want to change now would they? It would take some imagination. Liberty Mutual & Allstate 👎

Posted By: Kelly H
Date Posted: 12 Apr 2016 at 3:28am
Agree - Allstate is just plain retarded, cars should have female names anyway, Brad is just too bland - Farmers is equally annoying, seems to be on every channel, some if the Geico commercials are actually entertaining, like the Golf Announcer commercial and the more recent one, The Mom calling at the wrong time (who hasn't had that happen?) Flo is super-annoying and can be flushed down the toilet with the gecko, that talking pig, and the extremely creepy Progressive cartoon thing with the giant-sized ego.

This "Brad ad" is the worst of the worst.  They keep playing it over and over.  Like a chronic disease, it just won't go away.   I can't stand her and her phony "Look everybody!  I'm emoting!!"  attitude when she talks about totaling her crappy little car.  Looks like someone gave her a wedgie just before filming the ad, and told her to "look sincere!  Be intense!"    The ad is so violently annoying that it fails on all levels.  Just go away, you crazy whackadoo car-naming freak!

There is only one that really bothers me. It gets my vote as the best of this whole series of commercials, the actors a step above those in any and all of the other commercials in this series.
HOWEVER...in the beginning, anyone else think the guy is standing a few steps down so they are equal heigth? They also seem such a well-spoken, attractive couple - people I would enjoy meeting as long as they are NOT really brother and sister, which there just is nobody that can convince me they are not - and THAT drives me 3 shades of nuts, doncha know...

She beats Hell out of the "Brad" chick who has the most flexible, over animated eyebrows I think I've ever seen. She's also much more likeable than the brother & sister couple Pa mentioned ^ The woman is so mean & snarky, like she'd NEVER clip the food truck... stupid man... The shortened commercial is even worse, the look on her face is so pitiful I wanna sock her in the throat.

They really shouldn't make you pay those ridiculous rates though. Let's say you pay $5,000 to insurance company over x amount of years. You get into an accident and it costs $1,000 and they give you crap about how they shouldn't have to pay for it. Really? After I gave you 5 grand, you can't pay a grand? You still made 4 grand profit off of me!

That's why car insurance is one of the biggest scams.

A woman proposes a potential scenario in which a driver gets rear-ended, causing the driver to need a tow. She then begs the question, "does your 22-page insurance policy say your covered?" In pure comedic fashion, she answers the question by quoting exactly what the insurance policy says, "blah blah blah." The Liberty Mutual Mobile App with Coverage Compass, allows customers to know exactly what is covered.

It certainly is not as bad as the rest of the other Liberty Mutual commercials (which isn't really saying much ) plus that is the way things work with insurance companies.

As far as the ... Brad woman goes this stupid thing has been on for over a year and does not show signs of ending soon. The woman herself really needs to consider a straitjacket and rubber room because it is obvious that she is a few knights short of a crusade.

AMEN and AMEN! Every single ad they have features these actors trying so desperately to connect with you. looking you straight in the eye and talking sooooo sincerely about insurance. Reminds me of my college days in the theatre program and watching bad actors who thought they were genuine. It's a manic and desperate need to think they are connecting to the audience. I change the channel as fast as I can!

I don't see an "introduce yourself" thread, so forgive me for butting in here right off the bat.
Commercials I hate?  ALL of them.
But this one, I searched on this morning, just to reassure myself that I am not alone, and said search brought me here.  I joined this forum specifically to rant about this sickening commercial.
Good to meet you all.
I first saw the "Brad " commercial with the little insane girl, and I earnestly wished for the magic that would allow me to enter the screen and punch her in her moonpie face.  I've almost injured myself several times trying to get to the TV remote before she could open her mouth.
I hoped Liberty Mutual would soon give it up.  But no, it got worse.  I never thought I would see an insurance commercial I hate worse than Geico's (mostly because there has been one of those every five minutes for years - some of them are mildly amusing), but this Liberty Mutual crap!
The appalling ignorance about insurance promoted by these commercials is disgusting.  What these actors are "complaining" about - that's the way insurance works.  It ALL works that way.
Your new car is worth less than you paid before the first oil change?  I have news for you: it's worth less than you paid the minute you drive it off the lot, because
1. It was never worth what you paid for it to begin with
2. It is now a USED car
And then there's the one where they got slammed by some careless driver.  Guess what?  It's HIS insurance that has to pay, not yours ...
And as I'm typing this, a Liberty Mutual commercial comes on the TV next to my desk!!!
If that company was the last one on earth offering insurance, with insurance mandatory upon pain of death, they could go to hell; I would not buy it.

Liberty Mutual owns the broadcast channels, they show way more commercials than any other insurance companies. There is a newer, shorter version of this one that I'll call 'Research', iSpot has pulled the one I wanted to post. But it's the same stupid story!

Watson was named after IBM's first CEO, industrialist Thomas J. Watson. The computer system was specifically developed to answer questions on the quiz show Jeopardy! In 2011, Watson competed on Jeopardy! against former winners Brad Rutter and Ken Jennings. Watson received the first place prize of $1 million.

I cannot hate on the girl - she looks an awful lot like my dearly departed sister, who I couldn't quite hate, either...but I can say her shoes make her walk 'funny', kinda like a broomstick would, when 'rear entry' is employed.

Speaking of Jeopardy...
The one that really pisses me off is the GEICO commercial that's made up specifically to look like the beginning of the Final Jeopardy question.

Some cutsey A-Hole at GEICO thought it would be a GREAT IDEA to annoy viewers who zoom through pre-recorded commercials on their DVR's.  You see that little blue screen pop up and you think you're at the Final Jeopardy question.

But No.  You're not.
It's another f**kin' GEICO commercial.

Please get out of my life.
