Next to Christmas one of the worst times of the year for commercials is the thank God shorter in duration "President's Day" sale commercials. Just the idea of the same tired lame commercials for a holiday which basically is for government workers and bankers is hurl worthy. My nomination for the crappiest overplayed stupidest commercials proclaiming the latest sale for this vapid holiday is the one where a hipster stands in the middle of a street with flip cards where an off key country blues singer sings to see your local Ford dealer. Adding insult to injury are: anachronistic stop action and the endless repeating of this obnoxious ad. I thought we saw the last of stop action 1970's with that horrible Vampire Weekend Happy Honda Days from the never ending Christmas 2010 season. But no stop action is back. Do hipsters really embrace these commercials? Sorry, I searched for it online and didn't find it. No loss trust me on this. Chances are you've seen it hundreds of times and it will foul the airways till at least leap year day February 29.
