(voice over) "A father and his young daughter arrive at Panera. " "Dad, I'm really sorry I smashed the car "(voice over again'- says the daughter, as she takes a bite of her Mango Chicken Salsa Salad)
"It's OK, pumpkin, (voice over again- says the father, as he dives into his Bacon Supreme Sandwich), it's only a car. Now let me buy you a cinnamon roll."
This has got to be the worst radio ad currently playing.

But I like Panera Bread! Well, my mom likes to go there for the free wireless internet. But the food is pretty good.

I hope Atlanta Bread's commercials aren't as lame as the ones for Panera Bread.

If she totaled the car I doubt the father would be so dang happy about it I think he would revoke her license immediately!
(hell I drive my dads former car and I make sure I drive carefully! If I crashed it he'd be very unhappy about it, hell it makes for better driving skills, when you have that thought in the back of your mind. And if I find myself in a near miss I f**king hit the accelerator!!!, I ain't going to put myself in a needless crash, no f***ing way!!!) |

I hate hate HATE these ads! Why go to great lengths to describe what the people are eating as if we care? Is it a ploy to make us hungry for their food? I don't even know where this place is! Are they even in New York City?

I like their sandwiches, but these have to be the most annoying ads since PWRFL Power's Esurance commercial. I especially hate the one with the pregnant couple picking baby names. It would have been cute if a.) they didn't say things that were totally cheesy, and in totally cheesy voice and b.) if that creepy man with the common narrative voice weren't constantly describing their actions. I hate it, soo much.

December 2007 we had a bad ice storm in south central PA that knocked out power for 2-3 days. By day 2 I needed to get to internet to check work email. Took my laptop to nearby Target, which has a Starbucks inside the store, to use free internet.
I was about to by a $5 latte so I could sit there and use their internet access, but asked to make sure it was working...the barista said "We don't have wireless in our Target locations, but most people can pick up the wireless from the Panera Bread across the parking lot."
I told him to forget the latte, and sat in my car to check the email.
I do like Panera's food, but haven't heard the ads in question.
