Hi CIH'ers,

I'm pleased to be able to offer one free month of Hulu Plus to CIH members.

To try Hulu Plus free for one month:

Send me a Private Message with your FIRST AND LAST NAME.

I will reply with a VIP Code for a free month of Hulu Plus.

The rules:

This code is good for 24 hours. Use it or lose it!

Be considerate!
Please do not request a code unless you intend to redeem it.
I have to manually submit each code, so please be respectful of my time.

This offer is only valid for new subscribers.
If you have tried Hulu Plus in the past, this code will not work for you.

This code must be used at http://www.hulu.com/plus/vip.

You must have a valid credit card to sign up for Hulu Plus.
If you decide to keep Hulu Plus after 30 days, your credit card will be charged. It's 8 bucks a month.

If you cancel within 30 days, your card will not be charged.

That's the deal, folks. PM me if interested, and enjoy!

For more information about Hulu Plus, check this link or feel free to ask me a question in this thread.

This would be great, but I cannot find a way to PM you.
Your email is private, no other way to communicate with you other than here.

Is Private Messaging active on this server?

I'd like to get that code, but since there's no way to PM you, could you post another way?

THANKS!

I'd tell you how to PM ForumAdmin, but since you both are first time posters and have contributed absolutely nothing to this forum, I'm hesitant.

Astute observation, MrsHill!

Maybe Nathan ought to make this thread "hidden" so that people don't just sign up for the freebies.

Hilly, great catch....

I was about to explain to them how to do...

You are the bomb!

Of course, he would probably not provide the code to newbies.

I've stopped wearing it.

It itches me.

Now I just do the Hula wrapped in a beach towel.

But you don't want to see that.

What are the advantages of Hulu plus? Can I use it on my phone? I'm not going to lie the only time I'm on Hulu is in the bath tub....on my phone.

Edit: I'm retarded and found the answer in Nathan's original post.
It's ok, I'm in marketing!

Ok, so... Hulu Plus is a product from Hulu that lets you watch Movies and TV shows on:

PC/Mac
iPhone
Android Phones
iPad
Some Android tablets
Kindle Fire
Nook
Playstation 3
XBox 360 (with XBox Live Gold)
Nintendo Wii
Roku
Sony/Panasonic/Vizio/Samsung Tvs and Blu-Ray Players
and more.

So yes, Heza, depending on your phone, odds are you can watch Hulu Plus on your phone.

The content lineup on Hulu Plus is similar to free Hulu.com.
On Hulu.com for free you typically get the most recent 5 episodes of a show,
on Hulu Plus you get the whole season.
On the free Hulu.com they have the rights to more shows -
getting the rights to show a TV show on your phone/tablet/TV is actually really expensive so not EVERYTHING on Hulu.com is on Hulu Plus.
However there are shows (for example: Battlestar Galactica, Lost) that are exclusively on Hulu Plus and not on the free Hulu.com.

TV shows on Hulu.com have commercials - these are shows that are running right now on broadcast/cable/satellite - there's currently no legal way to watch these shows without ads.

I think people who are used to Netflix are confused about why there are ads on a paid subscription service. Netflix offers a home-video-release lineup. Hulu offers a broadcast lineup.

Anyone who pays $100/month for cable and gets 15 minutes of ads per hour should be really happy paying $8/month for Hulu Plus and getting 6 minutes of ads per hour.

For me the advantages of Hulu Plus (from a customer perspective) are like this:

My wife takes me to the nail salon. I sit in a chair and watch the latest episode of The Cleveland Show on my phone. I laugh my ass off instead of being bored to tears reading Glamour magazine.

We canceled our cable last April. My Samsung TV has the Hulu Plus app and most of our shows, we watch there. No boxes, no wires, it's built in.
If I stop watching in the middle of an episode I can resume watching on my phone - in line at the DMV or wherever.

The other thing about the ads is that they're targeted to me, so I don't see ads for diapers, toys or lady shampoo. Hulu knows I'm a guy, 34, no kids. I see car commercials, movie trailers, athletic shoe commercials. It's fine with me.

Any other questions, feel free.

I'm thinking about it, but do they ask for your credit card upfront when you sign up? Will they accept Paypal rather than the card?
This is your brain on commercials.

Um.. noticing some blatant thread digging and post whoring just to up count by said above new members. Arbitrary, "YEAH ME TOO!" posts. Kinda weird. It's just Hulu. I get it, it's cool, but come guys

No new members have asked for codes!

Newbies trying to increase their post count are most likely interested in posting pictures and links, which is forbidden for people with less than 10 posts.

Oh, ok. Just was a kneejerk reaction on my part due to the early request on this thread and some of them trying to raise old topics

Given a choice, I'd rather see noobies raise older posts over starting new ones that have already been discussed. This means they are actually using the search feature and/or looking beyond Page 1.
