Networks have started this practice of throwing repeats in the midst of a new season.

I look forward to seeing the new ones, but then I have to put up with repeats.

I hate that crap.  I am all set to watch a new show and then out of nowhere.  A rerun, of a crappy episode

Probably because the other networks will not counterprogram against the World Series.  That's also why NBC didn't have a Sunday night game this week.

NBC used to have these annoying radio ads. "If you haven't seen it, it's new to you." Nice way to describe a repeat.Confused

In the 1950s Shows would have over 30 Episodes a Season. Then 24 to 26 became the norm for the next 30 years. Now you are lucky to get 20 Shows a Season! Is it any wonder there are so many Reruns?Angry
A recent poll says all the bad boys and girls would prefer getting lumps of coal from Santa Claus instead of a Pay-TV subscription!

I remember posting a couple of years ago that I watch a full season of one show then when it goes into reruns I watch the reruns of a show that I also like but missed because it was in the same time slot.

Someone must have read it.  Now we have to deal with the new season jumble.

Yep.  Now, instead of rerunning the shows in order, they pull one out from 2005 and run it.  OR, they put a mid-season replacement on and don't bother with the reruns.  Which really sucks, when you're a regular viewer but you have to miss an episode.

Sometimes, they don't even tell you that a Show has been cancelled. You'll turn on the TV, expecting to see a Favorate Show, and SURPRISE!Cry

I first noted this about ten years ago, IMO it marked what I have since called "The Decline of Modern Television".Dead
