Accents! either by foreign born actors who have noticeable accents or or blatant parodies by minorities who obviously speak English.

I'll post more if I think of them--this is just off the top of my head.

I completely agree about hearing sounds of food being eaten!!!!!!!! I have to mute it every time it comes on because the sound makes me want to rip my eardrums out with a pair of tweezers just so I never have to hear it again.

I think of Head-On and that stupid Lipoflavonoid commercial. It was of an old woman who kept repeating the name over and over, and it was so fast you could barely understand her. So irritating!

The word smart:
Advertising Smart alecks have beaten this once-OK adjective to death!
Smart Zip (Ziploc bags)
Smart phones
Smart liposuction (actually, that I heard on a radio spot)
Smart Balance margarine (I buy this because of its flavor, not the name)
Of course the Smart car

Good heavens...my brain's locked up. I thought I'd have more examples of this. They'll probably flood my consciousness at 3:00 a.m. tomorrow. Wacko

Serously.... Why the f**k would I want or need two of whatever cheap crap that you are peddling. Like I need two Pasta boats. I don't even need one! Why? Because I'm not some moron who grabs a pot that I am cooking pasta in with my bare hands! I can also use a colander without spilling sh*t everywhere.

Really... just how big is that bear's asshole that it has TP all over?

Any commercial that is set up like the people are on an actual talk show. Why in the f**k would someone make a talk show about making someone's dick bigger?

Notice that the small print on the screen says that you must pay separate shipping and handling for the second one. The S&H is already inflated, so that's another way to get more of your money, and they don't give you a choice as to whether you want the second one or not.

TITLES! Angry
State Farm is the most recent offender (or one of them): their ads are entitled "State of confusion (regret, nostalgia, etc.)." I first saw this fad rear its ugly head around the time the word yuppie became popular; I assume that's the demographic group they were trying to impress. Ooh, this is no ordinary ad, it's an episode of a TV series.

No, stupid, it's just an advertisement.

The annoying whistling and ukulele music in commercials, who came up with that? Why has that become popular? What happened to synthesizers?
