I used the advanced "searchy thing" Grandpa and Grandson are arguing over the KFC side. Mashed potatoes vs mac and cheese. they end up wrestling for it. My solution to this "problem" would be: I'll make you some mac and cheese. OK! My Grandson is only 3y/o but my Granddaughters are 10 and 12 and are accomplished gymnasts/cheerleaders. If they did a "tag team" they could probably take me down. Very stupid commercial like most KFC commercials.

I think if 10 and 12 y/o granddaughters were in a commercial wrestling Grandpa, it would take on a whole new meaning.

What if they weren't really his granddaughters and they really, really didn't want to wrestle the old geezer? What if his false teeth weren't staying intact at the same time?

This is less annoying than most KFC ads.  The Teen does seem alarmed when grandpa grabs him from behind. I find it humorous. The ole lady does not care for yhe chicken . I love it.

I've seen people bring KFC food to cookouts.

I think, for many, fast food has become the standard for food.  I know kids who love Kraft Macaroni and Cheese, but won't touch real good homemade macaroni and cheese.  Also, it seems fast food burgers have become what hamburgers are supposed to taste like.  Hamburgers made on the stove or on the barbecue are lesser.

Yes. I have seen people bring KFC to cookouts/ picnics! I used to like McDonald's quarter pounder with cheese. About 3 years ago I bought one and gagged. The "cheese like substance" made me want to vomit. I have only wanted burgers without cheese since. About 2 months ago I was at Dairy Queen and thought their mushroom Swiss burger sounded good. It was a burger with a dollop of canned mushroom soup and a slice of Swiss cheese so thin I could see through it without looking through the holes. Yuk! Yuk! Yuk! About the only fast food burger I can now stomach is a Jumbo Jack. The bun is really good and no "cheese". McDonalds used to have the "Big and Tasty" burger but they discontiued it because I liked it. LOL

I haven't had a fast food burger since 2005.  I miss 'em.  I like 'em but I can't look at them as an actual hamburger or expect them to taste like actual burgers.  They're their own thing.  They just look like hamburgers.  Same with the cheese.  Still, I miss 'em.

I absolutely hate KFC. My husband loves it, I have no idea why. The mac and cheese is ORANGE and is some of the worst mac and cheese ever. The wedge fries are all cut too thick and aren't crispy, it's like eating mashed potatoes. Gross, no thanks.

Yet another ad that makes no sense. They're fighting over sides after the family already left to go pick the food up. Also this was a family of 5 or so right? When has ONE SIDE ever satisfied a whole family? It's not enough food.
It's ok, I'm in marketing!

As much as I love mashed potatoes, I couldn't stand KFC's version.  Not only are they made with potato powder, but it tastes like they substituted water for milk.  And if there's any butter in them at all, I certainly never tasted it.

And the macaroni and cheese?  Overcooked macaroni swimming in cheese-flavored glop.  Practically a soup.

I used to get the baked beans and the cole slaw as side orders.  Those were tolerable.

I don't get why they're saying "MASHED POTATOES"  "MAC & CHEESE".  What they should be arguing over is:  "SALT LICK"  "SODIUM"

The commercial is rather strange. He looks like a reincarnation of Chuck Connors (The Rifleman, Branded, et al).OuchConfused

Yeah.  There's one about 7 miles away.  I used to eat there on occasion.  But I swore off fast-food a long time ago.  No more burgers, French fries, KFC, Wienerschnitzel---and rarely do I eat burritos or pizza these days.  Maybe once/year.

The problem was that, when I moved to the 'burbs, all this stuff was just waaay too convenient and I found myself eating at such places too regularly.

Every time I see this commercial and the kid yells 'WHAT ARE YOU DOING????' when the grandpa puts him in a head lock, I feel kind of creeped out like I'm watching someone get sexually abused.

They need to work on their fight choreography. The grandpa's waistlock looked hella awkward. "Penn State" awkward.

He actually looks like former Sen. Fred Thompson, Who's also an actor & pitchman for those reverse mortgages. But with blonde hair.

The only funny part of that commercial is when the Grandpa says "Say mashed potatoes and gravy!" and the kid says "Never!", other than that, why?

Just saw the commercial....that grandfather does look strange...

Do you think when KFC finally goes out of business, someone will say, "I didn't see it coming?"
