"We love listening to music.  And aside from Gothic/Doom/Metal, music makes us feel good."

How does Kaiser know what music makes me feel good and what doesn't?  Sometimes, I've enjoyed listening to that sort of music.  And yes, on those occasions, it does make me feel good.  Why don't they mention rap/hip-hop?  That music rarely makes me feel good.  In fact, it usually makes me feel sick.

Maybe they should mention commercial songs, too.  Pomplamoose commercials certainly make many of us here at CIH sick.

What exactly is this company? Why would they have an ad just to tell people to listen to music? BTW, I like the ad.

Kaiser Permanente is a hospital as well as a health plan.  Wikipedia calls it an "integrated managed care consortium".

I thought they were in many parts of the US, but now I see they're only in nine states.

I like the general message, too.  I just don't understand why they felt the need to specify certain styles of music as being ones that, apparently, don't make me feel good.  Don't they know that listening to Celine Dion or Mariah Carey actually makes me want to kill?

I think they were just trying to make a joke, but I've heard a lot of crap from the classical eletisdt (sp) crowd that say only classical music has any benefits, but honestly, most classical makes me stabby. Sorry to all you guys who love classical music. It's not so much the music I don't like, but the stuck up attitude a lot of them have. I had it ruined for me when I was in college.

I always enjoyed Classical, but I'm also big on Alt. Rock and metal.  So when I found Trans Siberian Orchestra...yeah, pretty much fell in love.

Yeah, they're cool. I don't have a problem with the music, I just can't stand snobs of any kind.

Like the snobby sounding woman who does the voiceover of too many of their ads, that actress on West Wing. I can't stand to listen to her about any subject under the Sun. So, I don't! Wink

Confused...but...but...but...Brian Tracy will tell you that "music is bubblegum for the brain..." (unless it is 'classical' music)!

WinkThat is why the 'Big Guy Above' gave you 'Google', or any number of other search engines to look up motivational/inspirational speakers (that you may wish to have not heard of, or maybe so)...Tracy is actually pretty darned good; a number of very large organizarions employ him (I met him about 20 years ago - never have forgotten his comments in regard to music; I always thought it a tad 'nutsy')

I couldn't find his music quotes, but people like that tick me off.
