Why do we always have to have that disgusting little twerp Joe Buck in front of the camera for every major sports event?

He knows very little about the sports he is covering, he seems to be an egotistical person and I cannot stand seeing him.

Tim McCarver constantly refers to his playing years,( which were over in the 1970's I'm quite sure), and I'm tired of hearing him talk about his career.

There are two gentlemen who could/should be covering these games. Jon Miller is excellent. He has a down to Earth manner and he is very knowledgeable about the game of baseball. Harold Reynolds is also a wonderful announcer who could add a more up-to-date view of the world of baseball,(so much better than that old codger McCarver).

Why is Buck and McCarver always covering the WS?

Do they bother anyone else?

Jimmy,

I agree.  There are so many good broadcasters today...Buck and McCarver are annoying.

I like Joe Morgan and Jon Miller.

But, I am a 50 year Reds fan...so, I don't watch the damn WS anyway.  Cry

Doesn't it have something to do with which TV channel is carrying the games, as in football.
I fell asleep during last night's Game 1 and had to watch Sportscenter this a.m. to see who won.SleepySleepy

Both guys seemed bored with the whole thing last night when I tuned in.  The night before, too.  Of course I tend to tune in around the 7th inning.  Maybe they just need to stretch.

McCarver REALLY was a scream, when he was playing, and he was both brutal, and brutally funny - McCarver was simply put, an intense 'Bob Uecker'...and the boys played a LOT different, then - they played for real - not 'for money'; the game was a LOT more REAL; a lot more brutal.

Kinda like the way WE played it.

And I still would, if anyone would give me a chance!

We have an over 70 year old league here.  In a few years, I'll be eligible!
