SSDD here.

Hot & humid, but at least there's a breeze.

Typical of late summer weather down here.

The closer we get to fall, the more breeze we get during the day.

Probably about a month away from the temperature dropping into the 80's during the day and the humidity beginning to drop as well.

The latest model shows it travelling up the east coast of Florida and towards the southern coastal states.  Maybe it'll continue moving eastward, and stay out in the Atlantic.

That's what everyone is hoping for.

And the track could change any time between now and Sunday or even Monday.

Last year, Matthew looked like it was going to rake the eastern coast of the state, then it took an eastward jog and pretty much stayed out in the ocean.

Still managed to do some damage.

It's a madhouse here in the Daytona Beach area. Wacko Gas Stations are running out of gas, Stores are out of water, and now sodas are getting scarce. Interstate 95 North is a parking lot! Unhappy I'm filling up all my pots and pans with water and placing them in the bathtub in case they are needed. I'll go to a shelter to ride out the storm, I'm bring along my Portable DVD Player with a load of family-friendly TV shows and movies, hopefully I can keep some of the others entertained while we wait for the storm to pass. In the meantime...

PRAY!!!

Holy ****! I just saw a comparison between Andrew and Irma's size on The Weather Channel! Irma is like twice or more the size of Andrew! I remember Andrew that was a DEVASTATING hurricane! It was one of the worst in Florida's history it was all over the news! That was 25 years ago! Stay safe out there and be careful!

Very warm and humid here for mid September. 83 is the air temp.
63 degrees is the Dew Point. I may have to use the A/C one more time later on today.

I was gonna mow the lawn today but after noticing scorch marks in the grass I decided against it.

Spring has sprung, fall has fell....Wait a minute. It's the first full day of fall and it's hotter than hell usual.

The record in Green Bay is 90 for this date.  I have 88 right now. I mowed the lawn and even after the showers a  few days ago, the back yard is burning up.  The trees suck all of the moisture out of the ground.

Add the lack of sunshine, it's getting tough to grow grass back there.  I need to isolate the system so I can water only the back yard.  Maybe I can get Thor over here to dig some holes for me!

I'm running the irrigation now, the pump runs on 220 VAC. I'm sure it adds to the electric bill too.

After 5 days straight at or above 90 degrees we are finally back to normal average temps for this time of year. The Cottonwoods are shedding their leaves already, I have lots of 'fall' stuff to do.

Wet, cloudy and dreary.

Carrying a large knife around with me everywhere to slice through the humidity.

Cuts like a knife, but it feels so right.

It's a perfect January day in Orlando...60 degrees, crystal clear blue skies, low humidity and the wind is dead calm.

I can't complain but sometimes I still do.

More very warm air in place for this time of the year, I have windows open with one fan going.

We should hit 80 today.

Feels pretty good here right now. Air is comfortable, dry and breezy.

Temp is around 75°.

Has a bit of a fall feeling in the air.

What's crumbelievable is how much extra they charge for it than you'd pay for a block of cheese and crumble it yourself.

BTW, that crap would be a perfect candidate for the "stupid made up words" thread someone started once.

I'm not sure why you don't buy a window air conditioner and close off either the bedroom or living room so you have a room for relief.

You are used to it, I remember when I lived in Indiana without A/C. I hated taking my shower in the morning and sweating before I could get dressed.

I actually have a small window unit. About 7500 btu. It's sitting out on top of a cart on the porch with an old wooden cabinet door on top of it to keep the dust and crap off of it. My cat uses it as part of her pathway between where she sleeps and where she eats.

I think that next year, I'm going to get one of those indoor portable a/c's that you can roll around wherever you want it. They have an exhaust hose with a window vent attachment to blow the warm air outside.

Miserable humidity here this morning. I think it's because of that stupid g*dd*mned hurricane Nate pulling warm, moist air into the surrounding atmosphere.

I am so f**king sick of this g*dd*mned tropical bullsh*t!!!

By around Monday they're saying that the humidity levels should drop dramatically.

I can't wait!!!
