"I have to PASS GAS!" NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

All I can say is:

I'm a non-smoker and it makes sense.  Cigarette smoke is offensive to me as essence o'fart.

I, for one, am GLAD that they're banning smoking everywhere. I hate hate HATE walking down the street behind smokers and having their nasty death stick fumes make its way into my nose. Just because you want to kill yourself slowly with each puff doesn't mean that you need to drag me down into the grave with you.

Even though this commercial is stupid, it makes a valid point. Go "pass your gas" elsewhere. Just don't do it around me.

BTW - if you ever come to the Mooch house and you are a smoker who needs their daily death fix, you will be told to go smoke it outside and around the corner from the house so we won't have to smell it. No one in my house smokes and we certainly don't want that smell lingering.

I'm a former smoker. I quit eight years ago. I had tried several times before. If you've never smoked, you have NO idea how hard it is to quit and stay quit.  It's harder to quit than heroin. And it used to be perfectly acceptable in public, at work, in theaters, in the freakin' food store. (I remember my folks smoking at Shop-Rite! I still can't quite believe it, but there ya go.)

Most of the time I hate being around smoke. Sometimes it smells good to me, but mostly it stinks. However, I try really hard not to be one of those reformed smokers. As long as smoking is legal, smokers should not be treated like criminals.

I let my friends smoke in my apartment, because I love to entertain and hang with friends, and I want them to be comfortable.  It's gross, and it's hell getting the apartment back to not stinking like an ashtray, but it's my choice to have my friends here.  I think I might have to change that soon, because I'm starting to have allergic reactions, but I'm dealing with it as long as I can.

There's a neighboring town that has outlawed smoking in condos.  EVEN IF YOU OWN YOUR CONDO. If there are other domiciles in the same building, no smoking.  It's also becoming law that you cannot smoke if you have a child in the car. 

You can no longer smoke in parks or at the beach.  I think that is absolutely ridiculous. It's OUT IN THE FRESH AIR.  I mean, there is room to avoid the smoke.

This really is becoming a nanny state, and it's bullsh*t.  San Francisco is making restaurants post calories and fat content of foods.
