This complaint could apply to any commercial for replacement windows.
The windows look beautiful, the family activity happening inside/out might be goofy (we don't ballroom dance, in the two-story sunroom which we don't have anyway) but are tolerable and pleasant enough.
The windows look extra beautiful, because they never

ALL houses in TV commercials are beautiful. Also, in all the home improvement flyers and pamphlets I get in the mail. I was recently looking to get my house painted, and had one commercial painting/siding company send me their info. The info they sent me depicted all these 4,000+ square foot mini-castles sporting what presumably is a paint job or siding done by this company. When they made a follow-up call, I told them that, judging by the pictures in their pamphlet, I probably couldn't afford their services. I was right. They told me their paintjobs start at about $5,000. (I ended up hiring the guy down the street, and paid half that for a beautiful paintjob).
Same holds true for window replacement companies. If they really want my business, they wouldn't provide as examples, the type of homes you'd find primarily in gated communities.
HOWEVER, Hollyrock...it's possible that the windows in those commercials have screens that actually roll down. Waaaayyy expensive.
Or maybe there's no actual glass in those frames. Looks better on TV that way. The Mertzes and Ricardos drove all the way to California in a car that had no windshield.

Maybe it's because those people never open their windows. I've seen it a hundred times over. Putting up a house in any given neighborhood on a nice 60-70 degree day, and the neighbor has the A/C or heat going.
![]() Very rarely see a stormdoor on either, even a good quality one.
These people used to advertise here a lot.
