As implied in the thread title, this thread is for Happy Thanksgiving GIFs.

If anyone doesn't know what a GIF (Graphic Interchange Format) is, it's an animated picture like the one below.

Just do a Google image search for "Thanksgiving gifs".

So anyway, post your Happy Thanksgiving GIFs in this thread!!!

Oh, and... HAPPY THANKSGIFING!!!!

I don't understand all of the above.  What's all the turkey about?  Does that have something to do with today?

Now this, I understand.  I'll be going into it in a few hours.

Nope.  Today is special.  I get to go in from 6 till midnight.  I'll be in Lawn and Garden, tossing TVs into cars too small to carry them home.

That actually sounds kinda fun.

That used to be my main job at JC Penny's back in '79. But not just on holidays or big sales. I worked Package Pick-up year round, checking & logging employee packages that they'd buy in the mall on their breaks, etc. and loading large customer purchases like TV's, stereos, lawn equipment and some furniture into their cars, vans and trailers, etc.

And of course, that was back when big TV's weighed a hundred pounds or more.

When I worked at Montgomery Wards, I was in the Lawn and Garden Dept all year, too. When we'd have these big springtime sales on fertilizer and mulch, etc, the other three guys and me just stayed outside all day loading 50 lb bags of the stuff into cars.

We always had a blast. Better than being stuck inside with all the assholes.

They have pushed 'Black Friday' into 'just-after-dinner' Thanksgiving Day?! I missed that somewhere...thank goodness. I pity you for having to work on this day unless you get double or triple pay.

I actually do kinda like it.  Some of the guys started at 3 to do set-up.  I was kinda wishing I was, too.

A leftist, vegan, 30 y/o punk-rock supervisor named Steve is in charge.  Very cool, funny, smart guy.  I'd hit it off with him from the day I started working with him 2 years ago.  We have a good time whenever we work in conjunction.  Unfortunately, his good friend Tommy (a rightwinger) who he hired on is on tour with his band.  Another cool guy.  Too bad he won't be there.

But it's light work, and a change of scenery from my usual little corner of hell.  Gotta bundle up.  Temps are gonna be in the 20s.

Been that way for a few years.  But nope---Wally World doesn't do holiday pay, and overtime is rare.

Anything outside is better than being stuck inside in the crowds and mayhem.

Seems like you should be nearing Social Security eligibility.

If I was 62, I'd sure as hell do that before subjecting myself to that kind of hell on Earth.

Yes, I totally agree.  But for some reason, I'm totally hooked on the work.  Just the work.  Not the pay or the management or the work environment or anything else.  Just the work.  Most everything else about the job sucks.

As I've said before, there's something wrong with me.  There's gotta be.  LOL

You can still collect Social Security and work, as long as you make under $16,920.00 per year (or $1,410.00 per month) at your job.

OuchWhat in the world was it? Is it an in-state item/paper you can contact your state consumer protection board about? If it was that bad, then imagine all other people who probably got sucked into something like that - State Consumer Protection complaints are free and easy and generally online and they DO work. Been there, done that. In my experience, the state was so much a pest to the violator that we did get a refund - and then others did. Might be worth a few minutes of your time...

Most folks don't even realize most states have Consumer Protection divisions, much less know what they will do if anyone will simply feed them. This is nothing YOU can get in trouble for doing - it is 'exercising your rights' and raises eyebrows, especially when those who get your complaint understand and agree with it (and more often than not, they will).
