Remember when we bought 45 RPM records, only to find the "B" side of a hit song sometimes atrocious?  Usually, that was the case...although sometimes, the flip side was actually as good as the "A" side.  What are some of your favorite (and least favorite) "B" sides?  Here are some that immediately come to mind:

HEAVEN BELOW--John Wesley Ryles (the flip side of Kay)
JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF YOUR HEART--Donna Summer (Hot Stuff)
DESTITUTE & LOSIN'--Grand Funk Railroad (The Loco-Motion)
IT'S ALL WRONG (BUT IT'S ALRIGHT)--Dolly Parton (Two Doors Down)
JUST ONE MORE OF YOUR GOODBYES--Barbara Mandrell (Sleeping Single In A Double Bed)
EVER HAD A DREAM--Smokey Robinson (Cruisin')
PLEDGING MY LOVE--Elvis Presley (Way Down)--the last song released before The King's death

These are good:

Tell Her No-----The Zombies (flipside of She's Not There)
Can't Get Enough of You, Baby-----? and the Mysterians (flipside of 96 Tears)
Ah, Ah, Yawa Em Ekat Ot Gnimog Er'yeht-----Napoleon XIV (flipside of They're Coming to Take Me Away, Ha Ha)

In this case, the B side was better than the A side, though both were good:

Girls School----Paul McCartney (flipside of Mull of Kintyre)

One of my favorite songs when I was 12 or 13 was Chicago's Feeling Stronger Every Day.

When this topic came up, I began to get curious as to what was on the B-side of it.
I don't have the 45 any more, due to the fact that, after a fight with my brother and a major fit of rage,  I broke most of my 45's, including FSED.

I looked it up.  As it turns out the flip side was a song named Jenny.  Written by the now deceased Terry Kath.  Good song, but my parents wouldn't have approved of me listening to it at 13 because it had a swear word in it.

What was on the flip side and was it better than disco duck?

Of course anything would be better than disco duck, that almost goes without saying.

I could never in my mind distinguish the difference between those two songs.

They sound like one big long song to me.

96 Tears/Can't Get Enough of You, Baby is also like that.

I think Can't Get Enough... was remade recently (that is, within the past decade) and became a hit.  I'll check into that.

edit:  Smashmouth had a hit with it.  I hear it fairly regularly, so maybe it's in a commercial??
