I absolutely HATE this commercial! Of course people today are either too lazy or too ignorant to realize what they're actually saying, but "sucks" is a truncated form of its original meaning. "Sucks" evolved from "That sucks a dick." If "sucks" indicates that "adulting" is miserable, what could be more miserable than sucking a dick? So that character in the commercial should be dancing around singing, "Adulting sucks dick, it really does it sucks a dick......"

Are we suppose to guess what commercial your trying to describe? Your rant is useless without a subject to refer to.

I really want to smack her. I hate women who sing like this, and I hate women who won't grow the F*** up.

Probably the same kind of people who put ketchup on hot dogs. Or scrambled eggs.

I used to work with a woman from Ireland who loved potatoes, hated pasta. But her young daughters always asked for spaghetti. So she'd cook them spaghetti and put ketchup on it. They didn't seem to care; they were focused on the spaghetti. |

Thanks for the commercial. Immediate mute. It looks like a lot of artwork (animation) went in to it.
Unfortunately, the finished product was pretty bad. Very bothersome.

I had no idea either. I never saw it. Maybe it depends on what channels you watch. |

The whole commercial is way too contrived, too tedious, practically painful. I can barely get through it. Plus, the graphics seem to be geared to 10-year olds. |

I couldn't tell if that was a regular oven or a microwave. If the latter, I think they would cook from the inside out. Either way, not pleasant...although I bet Dr. Joseph Mengele would approve. |

I love ketchup on my eggs...and most hot dogs. Unless it's a Chicago Dog. The Chicagoans are spot-on with their dogs...adding tomatoes rather than ketchup. I just LOVE tomatoes! But spaghetti and ketchup? No f**king way...unless I'm under witness protection. BTW...I did post about this commercial. |

That's a huge pet peeve of mine! Commercials are creating their own bastardized language where nouns, verbs and adjectives are interchangeable. "Let's summer", "Feed Your happy", "Impossible is nothing". I'd hate to be an English teacher in today's world. |

Commercials might have exacerbated it and come up with the most ridiculous, but I remember how "party" became a verb (as in "Let's party!") in the 70s...and advertisers were way too uncool back then to have come up with that one on their own. I think there's a term for this, but I don't remember it. Maybe I should "Google" it. |

Verbing. No, for real. I don't mind it. It fills gaps in the language (as annoying as "adulting" is, would you rather they say "behaving like an adult" every time they reference -- properly a noun, btw -- the concept?) Don't get me started on "impactful", though. "Negatively impact" is a six-syllable substitute for "harm". |
