There are these gadget commercials that have been running for awhile now, from a company called Bulb Head.

At the end of the ad, their little tag line is....

Bu-bu-bu-bu-Bulb Head!!!

They sell crap like....

Angel View mirror

Red Dog Socket

Lizard Flare Light

Cup Call Hands Free Phone Mount

Atomic Beam Lantern

Yummy Can Bacon Cooker

Ruby Space Triangles

Ruby Slider Floor Protectors

Etc., etc.

Infomercial type junk.

Bass-O-Matic.

Anyway, what they're doing is, toward the end of the ad, a siren starts going off like an air raid alert, then they start in with some BS about...

BREAKING NEWS!!!! The (product being advertised) might be discontinued. Due to rising prices and supply chain issues, production of (the product being advertised) will cease immediately!!! So you'd better act now!!! Unfortunately there is a strict limit of only three per order!!!

How stupid are some people???

They've probably figured out that if they tell people that something might not be available in the future, they'll buy as many as they can get their hands on, whereas otherwise, they'd have only bought one.

What a sleazy con job!!!

It used to be "Call within the next 10 minutes, and you'll get this extra piece of crap!" (as if the call centers know exactly when and where the commercial airs, and are going to match it up with the buyer's location).

Anyway, buyer beware.

Bulbhead seems like one of the biggest infomercial advertisers on subchannels. I've seen them for a few years.

The ads and items they peddle are really f-ing bad...but as soon as you see the "BU BU BU BULB HEAD" jingle-logo in the end, you REALLY know it's pure trash.

The sunglasses that kill blinding glare..2 words, Polarized lenses. You can find these sunglasses at any Ross,TJ Maxx for $4-7 bucks! My aunt did buy me these yellow night driving glasses "NO GLARE," Yeah...ok, these did not work what so ever .

ONE item I did see on TV, cheap produced commercial...looked like BS - and again my aunt bought this, so I tried it. Alien Tape, I'm pretty damn impressed with that, its good stuff.

I hear it's pretty good as long as you're using it on very smooth, non-porous surfaces like tile, glass, ceramic, plastic, metal, etc.

The problem with the ads for it, is that they show a guy taping a brick to a brick/concrete/masonry wall, which is of course, very rough and porous.

I saw a review video, probably on YouTube, where they replicated that.

Needless to say, it did not work like in the ad.

I used to use them in photography to cut down on glare and make the sky more intensely blue. I'd hold one over the camera lens and turn it till I got the desired effect.

Eventually, I coughed up the $12 or so for an actual polarizing filter that screwed into the camera.

But the camera never looked as cool again, without the sunglasses on.

Our local Dollar General has Lizard Flares on the discount shelf. Must not be as much demand as they'd want us to think.
