That's one of the worst haircuts I've seen in a commercial in quite some time.

I was wondering about that, too. I think it stands for "An".

Seriously lazy writing.

I thought the A in Chick-fil-A stood for the long Ā sound at the end of the word "fillet."

In reference to the "boneless chicken fillet" they use in their sandwiches.

Chick-fil-A says that the A stands for "Top quality", just like the commercial says.

Sure. That's what they say nowadays in their slick commercials.

But I'd bet that back in 1967 when they first changed the former name of Dwarf House, formerly Dwarf Grill to Chick-fil-A, the intent was for it to be a cutesified, catchy way of spelling of the word fillet.

AAMOF, according to wikipedia....

...that's exactly what it meant.

They can say anything they want to nowadays as part of their commercial propaganda program all these decades later, but it originally started out in reference to the chicken fillet their sandwiches are made from.

I'll go with your assumption that the "A" is actually an alternative spelling of fillet.

the fact these "A" holes have even gotten us into this conversation is Aggravating

I have only been to this place once
people kept raving about it
I've even heard that the owners are right wing f**knuts
so I gave it a whirl to see what all the fuss is about
I live in phoenix which is the fast food sh*thole capital of the world
My experience is as follows...

First i was exposed to the f**kery they are doing to be socially distanced in the f**king drive thru
give me a f**king break...

next not knowing what to order cause I had never been there i asked

"Gimmie the chicken sandwich thing everyone loves so much"

I drove back to my office and in the bag was a piece of sh*t tiny chicken sandwich
with some mayo and a pickle on it... and it wasn't cheep

I think the A stands for f**king Assholes that ripped me off

your welcome

I've eaten at Chick-Fil-A many times over the years and I've never gotten a bad sandwich from them.

Certainly never a "tiny" one, as they are made with an entire boneless breast.

Never saw mayo on it either.

When they serve a regular Chick-Fil-A sandwich, it is always plain with one pickle slice.

I've seen some people get the Chick-Fil-A meal which includes waffle fries and a cup of cole slaw, and they put the cole slaw on the sandwich.

But you are right about it not being a cheap place to eat.

Perhaps I do embellish but really
They are f**king A holes

ps I did try the lemonade and I might say not bad
if you dont mind getting pissed on with the sandwich

the theme of the commercial sucks

we all know the A stands for fillet

they mock our intelligence and for that I hate them and their piss poor pickle slice

I agree with Hart. Their food is ok, nothing to write home about. Yet to lines ant the drive thru are crazy. And their owners are homophobic, right wing religious fanatics. So on the whole, it's a pass for me.
