My favorite episode was "Wallet Boy".

If you want to see some funny Chris Elliot stuff, go to YouTube and check out a lot of his old David Letterman appearances from the 80's and early 90's.

You can literally just sit and laugh your ass off at that guy's shenanigans for hours.

And "shenanigans" is just the kind of word he would use, too.

Or maybe "monkey shines".

Some corny, midwestern old-fart term like that.

Letterman described him as the funniest person he'd ever worked with.

Yeah, I've seen him on Letterman.

Did SCTV (Second City TV) ever air in the States? A Canadian production starring John Candy and Eugene Levy amongst others.

Yes, it did.

I'm not sure but I think it was on PBS.

All those people became big stars over here.

John Candy, Eugene Levy, Rick Moranis, Dave Thomas, Andrea Martin, etc, etc.

Harold Ramis of course was in Ghost Busters and I think he was in Stripes with Bill Murray.

I'm not sure if Eugene Levy was in those movies, too.

Many stars were born from Second City! If we watched it today, I'm certain we would find it too stupid for words! But I loved it back then!

It was funny in it's own strange way.

Not like SNL back then, but decent, offbeat comedy.

I suppose it was better if one was stoned.

I always wondered why the called it Second City TV if it was produced in Canada.

Here in the US, Chicago is known as "The Second City" after NYC.

I used to assume it came out of Chicago.

I liked the Schmenge Brothers.

I thought the same thing, so I looked it up.

Seems that SCTV is an offshoot of Chicago's Second City comedy troupe.

Night Court.

Wings.  Thomas Haden Church will ALWAYS be Lowell to me.

Salute Your Shorts.  Melody was smokin!

Hey Dude.

There was a COMEDY show called "E.R." that I watched as a kid, long, long before the drama "E.R.".... I remember the main doctor guy always smoking cigars right there in the emergency room.

The Earthworm Jim cartoon.

Home Improvement.

Touched By An Angel.

Cheesy-ass Mortal Kombat live-action TV series.

Lois and Clark.

Seaquest DSV.

Quantum Leap.  I hear they're bringing it back but it won't be the same without Al and well... let's face it - they're gonna f**k it up.

Xena/Hercules.  Crossover events were f**king epic back then.

The original REAL McGuyver.

The original REAL Baywatch.

The original REAL Power Rangers (Season 1 &2 or so)

Super Mario Bros Super Show/Super Mario 3 cartoon/Super Mario World cartoon.  But why, in an alternate dimension, did all the toads have New York accents?

Heavily censored "Porky's" marathons every New Year's Eve.

USA's Up All Night.... Ronda Shear was such a smokeshow.... I think the Count guy from Count's Customs showed up from time to time as a guest but he was playing a vampire/gothy/male Elvira-equivalent type character for the show, not the car guy that thinks he's everyone's brother that we know him as now.

The original Robert Stack Unsolved Mysteries.... but I haven't given any of the newer made-for-streaming episodes a go yet.

Dinosaurs.

Reading Rainbow.  He could still pull it off too.

Space Ghost Coast to Coast.

Coach.  But it kind of jumped the shark when they went to Orlando.

3rd Rock From The Sun.

In an alternate bizarro-universe where Billy Cosby was NOT a serial child-molesting sexual-harassing rapey pervert that drugged his victims...............The Cosby Show.

Win Ben Stein's Money.

Double Dare.

You Can't Do That On Television.

Alf.

Gummy Bears.

Pee-Wee's Playhouse.

David The Gnome.

Celebrity Deathmatch (my cable doesn't get MTV but I think they try to reboot it once in a while with no success)

The original REAL Walker, Texas Ranger.

Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman

Murder She Wrote

I used to watch Wings.

A couple of times while eating wings.

I always thought the show would have been better without the two main characters.

I thought they made it kind of douchey.

Mustang Marj, they're doing a reboot of Night Court with John Laraquette! I am intrigued how they'll do this.
The artist formerly known as Madawee

I'm guessing Larroquette will be the judge now.

No hope of seeing Harry Anderson, Markie Post or Charlie Robinson as they're all dead now.

Oddly Markie Post and Charlie Robinson died within a month of one another.

I could see Marcia Wallace reprising her role as Roz, but now in Larroquette's or Post's former capacity as either the DA or Public Defender.

And Richard Moll in his old role as a flunky bailiff.

Win Ben Stein's Money was really funny, and a cool concept for a game show to boot.

Since this is the era of "girl power" blah blah blah, they'll probably have a woman playing Harry Anderson's character. God forbid you make a tv show and not have a "strong female lead" in 2022.
I don't have a problem with LGBT. I'm just sick of seeing them on my tv all the time.

Let's go Brandon

I meant Marcia Warfield.

Marcia Wallace was Mrs. Crabapple on The Simpsons and Carol Kester on The Bob Newhart Show.

I wonder if I was another victim of autocorrect.... 🤔

I just had to go back and un-correct "Kester" from "Lester" which it incorrectly got "corrected" to.
