OMG ! Please give me a break ... Years back when cg was in it's infancy a commercial showed 8 or 9 dogs sliding helplessly. An insert below stated ' SPECIAL EFFECTS, NO ANIMAL WAS HARMED'  ... Now due to what was being shown a bottom insert was needed and dog lovers would certainly have appreciated it  .... but it's now getting ridiculous .. what ? have new laws been passed that if a person jumps off of a bridge he can blame it on a commercial ???

Holy cow ! The latest shows a red rubber cg man with bright yellow lungs (or some similar organ) ... The bottom insert says ' THIS IS NOT A REAL MAN HE IS A MAN ONLY IN SPIRIT' ... Are they actually serious ?
An auto commercial cautions that the car in the commercial does not really fly ... no kidding ? I so wanted to buy that auto and drive off the 7th street bridge ... damn, just my luck !!

If they find inserts like this are necessary they might just as well include inserts like  ' IF YOU BELIEVED WE REALLY KILLED 9 DOGS TO MAKE THIS COMMERCIAL YOU'D BEST NOT GO TO SEE JACK BLACK IN THE LATEST KING KONG MOVIE .... '  or,  IF YOU BELIEVE AUTOS CAN FLY WE RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT TRY TO OBTAIN A LICENCE, SERIOUSLY ....' then of course there is the 'reverse insert' ... After the lady screams in joy that she won a computer on Deal Dash, the insert reminds everyone that the win was not typical, she paid for each bid (A few hundred dollars I believe) and is a frequent player ... so like going to Vegas for the 100th time you finally won $190 after spending $2500 over 6 years of vacations ...

I remember seeing an animated man with bright yellow lungs but I can't think of the brand name.

Not a real man...

These examples---well, I'd have to see the actual commercials, but it sounds like they were said more tongue-in-cheek than in all seriosity.

I've seen several 'tongue in cheek' inserts of the type you mention ... but no these were sincere and straightforward inserts and I'm beginning to see how important it is to first find the commercials before posting comments so, my bad ....

The actual mouseprint should more correctly read:

"IF YOU BELIEVE OUR CAR FLIES, WE'D LIKE TO TALK TO YOU ABOUT OUR ATTRACTIVE LEASE OPTIONS!"  Wink

After all, a fool and his money are soon parted.

Car ads on the radio are even better.
The mouseprint doesn't comes across quite the same.

2pt gray font on white background vs. auctioneer-speed reading down 20dB in the mix.
