*sigh* ... Here we go again, breaking in YET ANOTHER Colonel Sanders. This time, it's Billy Zane (Titanic, The Phantom). He has a bone-chilling, blood-curdling voice that makes this an instant "Mute-Button All-Star." And I understand he's supposed to have some kind of duel with Rob Riggle in an ad or possibly series of ads during the Super Bowl... oops... excuse me, I mean "The Big Game" on Sunday. durrrrrrrr...

The adholes at KFC are idiots...to hell with Goldfinger, let's go with a gold everything.
He even sh*ts golden bricks! Georgia Gold? I'm not impressed.
I always tried to get the hell out of Georgia if I needed to stop for the night on a trip to Florida.

Good job KFC. You have named a product after something that I am going to say that 90-95% of the people will not get. For those not aware, the first gold ever found in the US was in North Georgia 20 years before they found gold in California.

Another frikken Colonel? KFC needs to give this idea up, right away. The next Colonel Sanders should be a holographic version of Colonel Harland Sanders himself. Or just go back in the archives and pull out some classic Colonel ads from the '70s. They are making fun of their founder!

Back after a long absence...still hating those commercials. Go away Limu Emu and Doug!

I agree they seem like they are indeed making fun of the founder but I'm betting Sanders isn't rolling over in his grave because of all the costumed clowns ... I believe he is too busy wondering how his delicious and famous chicken now needs a customer to be loosly clutching at least a $20 bill if they even intend to approach the counter ... Burger King's 20 large and extremely filling $3 nuggets seem to be proving to KFC that no chicken in the free world should be hovering near a $9 cost just to satisfy the hunger of a 6 foot healthy male or female ....

^^^You actually EAT BK's pressed chicken parts product/byproduct? Go there for kiddy birthday parties and free crown hats?
~~~ The 'Georgia Gold' history Crash1984 alerts us to was a nice historical fact - thank you, but you get an 'F';. Try Reed Farm in North Carolina in 1799. ~~~ The 'Georgia Gold KFC' doesn't sound appetizing, yet it is another way to sell off the day-old unsold. |
Well, it's either enjoying $3 chicken lips, navels, and entrails cleverly disguised as chicken and quite tasty or waiting until KFC extends the counter 4 feet to allow for low interest chicken loans .....
The insane cost is why I stopped getting KFC. If I want a chicken dinner I will either go to Popeye's or Bojangles. If I want to get a bunch of fried chicken I will hit the deli/bakery at Food City or Walmart. BTW I still would rather have fake Colonel instead of people going into a panic because they thought they ate chicken bones. |
