I'm really getting annoyed with a lot of these back to school commercials, but this one takes the cake.

Welcome liamr! And you really scored with this one-- it sucks big-time on so many levels, I hated it on first hearing and hope it's the last!!

What the flying f@#$!? That's the cheapest green screen effect I've ever seen, cheaper than The Daily Show's!

And shame on them for reviving the "boots and pants" song. I was relieved when GEICO stopped airing that song. Now its back in my head again. Thanks, East Hills Mall!

Hi LeeboKC! Thanks for the welcome! Yeah, I don't even know what to say about this one. I'm used to crap but this, there are no words.

Ad, I agree but he just looked so unhappy doing that part.

I couldn't focus while watching the commercial, because I was too busy imagining how soft and malleable their face flesh would be if I were to punch them.

Welcome to the commercial hating family, and that had to be the absolute WORST singing I have ever heard.  Now I need to go to the bathroom and wipe the blood out from my ears Cry

I'd rather be subjected to this commercial, rather than the Old Spice robot commercials. Only because it doesn't involve freaky weird $#%& happening!

Is this seriously a mash up of Royals and the boots and pants song?!

Where the hell is East Hills Mall? Glad I don't live in the commercial area!

Trying to understand this... I get that this mall, and probably the town, has fallen on hard times.  There's no money to hire a decent ad agency and use real actors - not even enough money to hire bad actors. So they figure they'll get some local folks who will do it for free, just for sh*ts and grins and their 15 minutes of fame.  I sort of get all that.  Well not really, but if I stretch my imagination I can make it somewhat plausible.  What I don't get is the woman singing about the haircut.  They couldn't find even one person in this town, (which is apparently large enough to have its own mall) with a decent haircut?

Yes, home of the Pony Express, St. Joseph, MO. Less than an hour north of KC.

And this commercial made the evening news!! Apparently it's been voted the worst commercial ever on Reddit (?!?).

They must never have seen the Titlemax girl or heard "Living the Life of Dreams".

They need to leave the commercial-hating to the professionals (aka us, lol). It's really not much worse than a lot of other local commercials that also use untalented locals.

You are so correct.

Whoever made that determination on Reddit obviously does not have the experience, sophistication or innate masochism that the academics here at Commercials I Hate do.

I guess this has gone viral now- it was featured on tonight's Inside Edition.

The "actors" work in the mall and didn't expect to take part. Apparently everyone is proud of it-- and the PR guy who did it claims that the budget was only $300.

Really?! Ermm

^  It was also on Fox News' "The Five", with the banner "Worst commercial ever?".  Kim Guilfoyle noted the 'do on the hairdresser in the commercial, and said she doesn't think she'll ever get a haircut there.

Oh, that was bad. Really really bad. Aren't the people in Missouri suffering enough already?

300 dollars? I want to see what the money went for, because honestly if they spent 50 on it, it would have been too much.

Maybe the Ferguson police could start using the ad as psychological warfare on the rioters instead of weapons?

Isn't there something about cruel and unusual punishment?
