Horrible hillbilly-sounding song about how he didn't know his credit report, so he had to leave the car lot in an old junker. Then, he learns his credit report, now he drives a nice, new car.

Ummm ... just because you know your credit doesn't change whether it sucks or not. Not really getting the benefit of product here. Thumbs%20Down

The same principle also applies when getting a job--just because you know your credit report doesn't change your outlook in getting hired, whether it be at a fast food restaurant, in the retail or entertainment industry or as a top-notch executive.  These freecreditreport.com reports are as bothersome on the radio as on television!

Absolutely.  For this reason, I absolutely hate all these commercials.  Knowing your credit score has absolutely no effect other than helping you realize you have no chance of being eligible for something.

Any informed critter knows that they are entitled to a FREE CREDIT REPORT once a year, from each of the 'Big Three'...they are easy enough to get and you DO NOT want them combined, if you are going to actually use them for a legal purpose.

Part of the problem is that this particular series of ads are actually from Experian, one of the Big Three. They are trying to get you to pay for what they are required by LAW to provide for free.

Why's that?

Also:

F to the R to the E to the E, C to the R to the E, D, I, T, RE to the PORT to the DOT to the COM . . .
If I remember correctly, I have a poor memory.

Jack,
In regard to '3-in-1' reports:
My comment was derived through consultation with our own family lawyers, out of curiosity. I understood it a preference on their part, in addressing each of the 'Big 3' on an individual basis, should the need arise. However, in fairness to '3-in-1' reports, should one desire to get a look at the 'big picture', and try to address it on their own - they are good for that.

I hate the credit report.com commercial ... it is just weird. Then to make it worse I heard on the news a few weeks back that the company is a scam.
