Few have already been airing for a few weeks. But Monday morning Nov. 1. The full blown sh*tshow has started as usual. I swear, it feels like last week when these crap ads stopped airing.

*If GMC brings back that "One for you, one for me" smug couple again...an ad NO ONE likes, I'm convinced they are just trolling us. F'ers!

I've seen Target already, which is pretty toned down. Seems to feature "low prices" in a time of crap inflation, music is not that obscene actually.

Walmart Black Friday and a very brief Campbell's Soup ad.

JCPenney, good luck finding an actual store.

Nowe THAT^^^^... is just a pure unadulterated celebration of materialism, consumerism and plain old greed.

Happy Birthday, Jeebus.

I saw Santa in a Weather tech commercial last night before 8:00 PM. The ad exec probably thought "OK, enough of this trick or treating, crap. Time for the big money making push!"

I saw my first Xmas ad sometime around midnight last night (i.e. Halloween is over, LET'S GET 'EM...). I can't remember what the product was. Background music was Jingle Bells.

Like it or not, 'tis the season to be hit over the head with Xmas commercials ;-)

Yep. That's how it works. There's barely any time during the year when there's not a reason to sell, sell, sell, buy, buy, buy. The only reason there's no real summer holiday is because you need to spend money on summer vacation stuff, and then, of course, it's "Back to school!!!"

Of course, we all play right along.

Well, I don't. I've come to hate and avoid this nonsense.

Nope, I don't play along either.  I absolutely despise this time of year, (if that makes me a Grinch..so be it) The gifts, the silly pressure of this nonsense is shoved down down our throats for 55 days, f' that!

Oh sweetie - you are not a Grinch! I have not enjoyed Christmas and the associated pressures for many years.

Now I am dreading the constant Christmas songs being played everywhere - the radio, the stores , the commercials!

Just saw my first Xmas ad of the season.

Some phony ass-plop by Wayfair.

I won't post the video, but here's a couple of screenshots.

Daughter worried about whether old pappa is up to hosting family Xmas while he's decorating the house but he's doing it because he wants to "keep it the way it always was".

Of course there's an empty Wayfair box sitting there on the sofa.

With the dog lying next to it of course.

Finishes off with the family sitting together watching video of dad dancing with the (presumably) late mom.

Yeah, we get it.

Boo hoo.

Better jump on the Wayfair website and order up some of their absurdly overpriced crap.

Nah.

I don’t know when, exactly, that I began hating Christmas.

I know Christmas is a special time when you have children and grandchildren, but, for those of us childless (by choice), and old farts who don’t give gifts to their spouses or significant others because we don’t need or want anything, this holiday is a waste of our time!

Now, we do enjoy Thanksgiving! We get the biggest turkey we can find, cook it up with bread stuffing and all the sides and we are happy for months with leftovers!

I wish they'd wait until after Thanksgiving to start airing Christmas ads. Companies seem to forget there's a holiday between Halloween and Christmas.

Thanksgiving isn't a "spending" holiday. Once Halloween's over, the next reason to spend, spend, spend is Christmas. Thus, the commercials.

Shoot, my birthday is in mid-late September, and I've seen Christmas displays even before that!

Today's the first time this year I've seen this perennial staple of holiday drek from the Pennsylvania lottery. Ermm God I hate this ad so much... especially in recent years since they remade it for HD TV.

Just compare this to the original that I was already fed up with, which must have ran for 20 freaking years. The half-assed cinematography and acting is like worlds apart.

Thanksgiving gives China’s turkey farmers a chance to gobble up some profits

  • Western festivals drive a spike in sales for Chinese poultry breeders, despite protests against them on ideological grounds
  • Domestic market remains small although interest in ‘exotic’ products is on the rise among the middle class

Brutal. I actually saw this during Jeopardy on Nov. 2!!  Still not the earliest I've seen this annual sh*tshow, Nov. 1 was the earliest a few years ago. (Annoying muppet Gus the Groundhog aired Nov 3).

This "remake" of the 12 Days Of Lottery" crap,
I can't stand new Joe, he sounds like a robot!
