Okay...my summer was like the last four summers...going nowhere and doing nothing!
I tried to get my friends to do something...but they were busy! I tried to get my family to do something...but they were either busy or had NO ambition! Should I just post-up a series of events on meetup.com and have it be total strangers? I do have an account with them, so...is that the path I should take?

I'd rather do nothing by myself than "meet up" with strangers.

^ Same here.
Mr. C. You need a woman, but let me warn you. You can't live with them and you can't live without them. |

If you decide to use something to do like use 'meetup.com', you might want to go ahead and change your name to 'Mr. Wallet'.
You need to watch yourself and not place trust in others right up front - be careful. Maybe another option would be to sink yourself into a hobby or interest to offset the nagging 'what to do' feeling. I had to do that after a loss which made it all a little easier to accept in pieces over time. Busy the mind. Read. Walk. Ask if you can help out at any charitable function, such as homeless shelter, or church, do that. You'll become stronger in yourself and you will meet new people there, too..but watch your back with even them. |
