Yeah, I was tired when I wrote that.  I knew there was probably something wrong there.  I took the first mile (to BK) into consideration, and then forgot about it in my calculations.

Think about it!

Actually, you'll have only driven an extra 10 miles.

Checkers @ 6 miles each way = 12 miles.

BK @ 1 mile each way = 2 miles.

12 miles - 2 miles = 10 extra miles.

10 extra miles @ 20mpg = ½ gallon of gas @ 2.50/gal = 1.25 extra cost.

Millenial, good point that bundling isn't always the best deal. A $1 burger, a $1 value dessert, $1 value fries and $1 value soda is $4.28 at say Checkers including tax, two people is only $8.56, over a dollar less for two people than the Burger King 2 for $10 "deal."

some of these bundles are deceptive -- the illusion of a restaurant helping you out with a bargain.  If someone actually did the math, it can be a lot cheaper in some cases not to bundle... but people are either stupid, or lazy and that's where these companies make their money.

I totally agree that the "2 for $10 isn't really all that great of a deal. It seems reasonable, but not a great deal. Now, make it 2 for $5, and now we're talking!
