I seem to recall a thread about that one, but I can't remember what it was for.

Marlboros are over $10.00 a pack here , so I roll my own using pipe tobacco and filter tubes.

Yuck.  I actually don't like cigarettes.  So I can't imagine putting so much effort into them.  I'd probably quit first.

Why pipe tobacco?

You can buy loose cigarette tobacco too.

I kinda like doing that kind of thing.

What some see as effort, others see as enjoyment or fun.

If I ever run out of those smokes that have been in the bottom drawer of my fridge all these years, I might buy some tobacco, filters & tubes & try out the rolling machine I bought at a yard sale about 15 years ago.

To me, smoking is just a nuisance...a nuisance I'm hooked on, but a nuisance nevertheless.

I have a feeling I'm gonna quit soon.  Thing is, I don't wanna put much effort into that, either.  It'll come naturally.

Thanks.

I'm down from 2 packs/day to about 13 or 14 cigarettes/day.  It'd probably be 8 or 9 if it wasn't for the people who come by and wanna have a smoke when I didn't really plan on having one.  I go along with it 'cuz it's the neighborly thing to do.

The other 8 or 9 are just something to do.  Probably part of my identity, too.  I'm a smoker, and to continue being a smoker, I have to smoke.

Pipe tobacco is a ***LOT*** less expen$ive than cigarette tobacco because the government taxes it significantly less. Ouch

I buy a pound bag af pipe tobacco here for $16.69. Tastes like Marlboros. Filter tubes are $2.59 for a carton. So for right around $25 I get the equivalent of 3 cartons.

MrsD and I quit a few years ago. She went cold turkey and was a total bitch for weeks. I used the gum and was mellow yellow.

I recommend the gum. Ouch

If by chance you have a Sam's membership (Costco might sell a version too) get their gum. It's something like 1/4 the cost. Get some Trident or something and pop a piece with your nico-gum. Really helps the flavor.

Also, good luck. Of my Big 3, smoking cigarettes was the toughest to quit, but once you get past the psychological part, the physical is pretty easy.

Stumbled upon this place on Google.

Tillicum Village
Tillicum Village is a Puget Sound area visitor attraction located on Blake Island just off the shore of Seattle, WA. It is believed that this attraction dates to the time period immediately preceding the 1962 Seattle World's Fair.

I wonder how it is pronounced. Sounds like a good place for a couples retreat. Or porn.

A few more.

Thanks.  I think I'm just gonna let it happen naturally.  It seems like it already is.  When I decided to quit smoking indoors, my smoking dropped drastically, and I didn't feel like I was missing out on my usual cigarette intake.  That's when I realized that maybe I don't like smoking as much as I thought.

$130,000 for a PS4, even a number one of a limited 20th anniversary seems a little excessive.

Shocked

Mercy Confused

Even if I were a millionaire I probably wouldn't spend $130K on a car, let alone a gaming console.

OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! My console has #00001 on it! That makes it play games better and look better and suck my XXXX better than any other console so I'll pay 260 times what Joe Shmuck can get #37892 at GameStop for!

I've only ever spent and will only ever spend that much money on one thing, and I'm sitting nearly in the center of it now. It has 2 computers, two tablets, two smart phones (sometimes) and two last-generation consoles in it... all of which capable of playing games. It also has things I can sit on and poop. Seriously. It came with seats that you can poop on. There's also a big box at one end that... get this... keeps food cold. There's lots of other stuff, but I don't want to seem all braggy and stuff.

Shocked

Oh, it also came with a controller, makes a big panel at one end go up and down, but it doesn't really match anything.

Okay, you're a tough crowd.
I bought a 12 pack of toilet paper this morning, mama had a good day for a change.
The TP was on the dining room table, she said.  "TP for my bunghole" as she took it back to the storage closet.

I sometimes hate collectors; they suck the fun and happiness out of everything. #000001 PS4....yeah, who's going to buy...who's going to enjoy it. Something that was meant to make a family happy will just be kept in some plastic box.

I saw the same thing; I've been wanting to buy a Nintendo 3DS after seeing the new model out. $199 in the stores, but a bunch of reprehensible sh*tholes are selling them for $220+ (I saw some going 300+), and even the last generation ones with limited release cases on them are being sold for horrible fees (350-500 for the Zelda ones, the Pikachu one was going for $800)

It's just sort of depressing to me. Can you imagine some little kid who'd be so excited and enthusiastic to have a Nintendo 3DS with Pikachu on it; but selfish people like these buy them, never open or use them, and then sell them for a medium-sized fortune way more than the system is worth.
