Joe Campaiolo.  Few know of him.  He worked the comedy circuit in the early 80's in SF and NYC.  Hilarious guy.  He and I shared a lot of good laughs, and even came up together with one of his characters (a pimp) one wild New Years Eve at the comedy club I used to work at.  I just Googled him, and found out he died a few years ago.  RIP, Joe.

I'm out of my mind with excitement because I am going to see Don Rickles in October. He ranks up there with the greats.

Carlin, hands-down.

Dave Chappelle. See "Killin' Them Softly" if it's at all in your power to do so.

Steve Martin. We're talking about stand-up here, none of this "Father Of the Bride" bullsh*t.

Oh. And of course, Triumph the Insult Comic Dog.

I laugh to tears at John Pinette. His Chinese buffet story is hilarious!

In no particular order:

George Carlin
Robin Williams
Steve Martin
Richard Pryor
Lewis Black
Paula Poundstone
Alec Mapa
The late, great Mitch Hedberg
Don Rickles, of course!

Thor, I remember Dexter Madison.  Microphone in one hand, champagne glass (and cigarette?) in the other!

Faith, the last time I saw Joe was when I went with him and a few others to see Paula Poundstone at The Warfield on May 28, 1994 (the reason I know the date is that I have the flyer on the wall in front of me right now).  Joe was one of the most incredibly hilarious people I've ever known.  He really could've been a great comedy writer, too.  Alas!  The alcohol.

I actually have Paula's phone # in my address book.  Shall I post it here, and we can all call her?  LOL
