Yeah. There's not a whole helluva lot to do, as far as repairs. I had a realtor come in and give me a general appraisal. He said the place looked to be in good shape and had curb appeal---so, a few repairs and maybe paint the rooms that even I never painted should get it sale-able. I'm not in any huge rush, though. |

I'm not sure you ever gave your street address, you were talking with another member near you. If I recall you are in Citrus Heights. Just in case I'm in the neighborhood.

Ok, Thor...you were in your 20's when you moved from Jersey to California. What initially drew you there?

Yes, answer the question ,Thor.
And remember ,you are under oath. I'm going for another load of wood tomorrow, mama has 3 days off this week. We'll get the last boat ride of the season in. Give the doggy some outside time. |

I have to share this funny story my wife served up to me.
She is an RN in a nursing home run by the county/state. She said, Joe Walsh is a patient here. I didn't really get it the first time. Joe Walsh, my high school history teacher. Okay ,I'm starting to catch on now. She works with and still has contact with many high school friends. I love Joe Walsh, I showed her my signature, my wife loves me.

The squirrels are everywhere around here. We have them eating walnuts on our porch.
Not cute.

My best friends from college moved out here. Plus, I just wanted to be in California, and to have an adventure and do something totally independent. On top of that, I wanted to get away from the parents. At the time, 3,000 miles away seemed about right. If they moved any further inland, I'd have had to move equidistant offshore. |

We have bunches of skinny, nasty, flea-infested jet-black squirrels that live around the water.
They're not friendly, not even with each other.
They just sit around, scratch and kickat fleas and make weird noises.
I call 'em squiggers and I don't want 'em in my neighborhood.

Some years ago, the subject somehow came up in a thread & somebody, I don't remember who, posted it. That's how I knew. I'm pretty sure you saw it,too. |

Not your address, just the name of your street. I don't remember you seeming pissed. |

Just the name of my street?? Yeah, no big deal. Maybe I even mentioned it. But if someone was to post my full name and address---that's kinda different. |

My buddy Charlie and I tore out my master bathroom toilet, vanity and floor today. There'd been a leak under my toilet since before I moved in, but it had gotten worse in the past year, soaking the particle board and causing the linoleum to come up. So, I'd turned off the water valve, emptied it out, and stopped using it. |

Well, you had made your name known, so that was probably how they got your street name. Probably via some online phone lookup. But as I recall, it was just pretty conversational. You might have even asked them somehow.

That would be difficult. You have said your first name, I don't know your last name and don't care to. It's good to know the general area all you fine people reside. But this is the internet and the anonymity is something we all enjoy.

The second load of wood is resting comfortably in the driveway.
I'll get an early start unloading in the morning. I'll spend $300 now, on what will save me about $1500 through the coldest 4 months of the season. If you are reading this PaW, your right, the further you store the wood from the house, the better. I'm looking at convenience, appearance, it's best to keep the wood in the dog run. I fill the wheel barrow with wood every night and bring it in the garage. That way mama can get to the wood in a robe and slippers. I have a water line out there also, the lowest setting for the garage heater keeps it at 35 degrees. Of course I cover the wood late this fall, before the first snow fall. |

Thanks for the answer, Thor.
Always good to know people are afraid of me. I DID NOT DO A SEARCH ON YOUR PROPERTY!!! Back to my healthy lifestyle today, unloading wood, burning calories and maybe even dropping a few pounds. If it feels good do it. |
