Internet advertisements are the worst kind of poison one could bestow on his/her fellow man! PERIOD!  The First type are the video ads. They're annoying because they all but prevent you from watching your favorite vids from YouTube.  But those you can easily avoid and skip or mute them.

However, there is a newer more obnoxious menace among us. The second type I'm talking about, are the ads that actually open another tab on your web browser! AARGGHHH! Angry The slow down your connection speed, causing you to think your computer has crashed.  Then has the f**king balls to frighten the sh*t out of you while saying/lying "YOUR COMPUTER IS ABOUT TO CRASH!" or "YOUR COMPUTER HAS BEEN INFECTED! CLICK HERE NOW! Give me a break! Or they can just nag you with surveys or beg you to play some sh*tty, cut-rate "World of Warcraft" rip-off online game that NOBODY WANTS!!!

I thought only TV commercials were disturbing and ridiculous.  I was dead wrong. The third type of internet ad that pisses me off are the flashing ads with dumbass gif. of a stock photo of some random person(or President Obama) that has been distorted telling me some weird old tip is going to lower my insurance rates, make me lose 70 lbs., make my schlong bigger, while shooting a f**king cartoon cockroach to win a prize!  Can anyone say...SCAM!  This is why more and more people are installing ad blockers to their computers! This is why advertisers are losing revenue!

Oh HELL no! I want to take that guy and the guy who invented the concept of embedded video ads before Internet videos and submit them to some kind of torture!

I used to get this one sort of "ad" that would take over my computer.  I'd get various pop-ups that looked as if they were coming from Windows, telling me that, basically, I had ten trillion viruses and my computer was going to crash unless I installed this particular anti-virus program.  It even automatically would run some sort of scan to show me how infected my computer was.  I'd "x"out of this nuisance, only to have another warning pop up.  The only way to get rid of it was to shut down the computer.  Even then, it'd start again.  I think they were counting on people panicking and agreeing to download their product.

It lasted for a brief period of time.  Maybe three or four times over the course of a week.

I dunno if this is what you're talking about, as it occurred maybe 5 years ago.

My sister got one of those asinine things several days ago; she had me come over to check it because she had no clue as to what was going on. So the first thing I told her over the telephone was to back away from the computer nice & slow (so that she didn't touch the mouse or keyboard), and then I came over and immediately identified it as this pussywhipped piece of sh!t motherfukking worthless flushable stupid sodding advert. that had opened a new tab in her browser.

So I closed the tab, and instructed her to summon me if she sees another.
