I went onto their website into the chat feature. I simply shared my opinion on the radio commercial. Enjoy. Feel free to share your feedback in more colorful ways and then share it with us here.
Thanks for contacting us. An operator will be with you shortly... [Cindy] Hello ! Thank you for chatting with us today. My name is Cindy and I'm happy to assist you. [Witheld] I just want to give my feedback on the radio commercial. [Witheld] It is very frustrating that I have to hear it every 2 seconds. [Witheld] I often wish that I was dead when it comes on. |

They're probably covert members of that revulsive & controversial front group which shouldn't even exist.

Never ends. 106.7 in DC plays it over and over. Worst song and premise ever. How many years is it going to go on? Does anybody really donate their cars for Kids? The actual operations look very shady as well. Die, pedophile, annoying brat (who's probably 32 by now) and particularly the vermin that produced this. Even worse than Gerber Life.

For goodness sake, they're STILL playing this commercial?! I've been unemployed since February and haven't heard the radio since. It's been refreshing to not hear this abomination every day. But judging from what I'm reading, they are still airing this ad. Ugh! |

Hearing the Kars for Kids 'jingle' is the close equivalent of stepping in dog crap...actual dog crap being preferred. Anyone involved in the creation of this dreck should be jailed. They should also be required to read daily, live PSAs stating how sorry they are for their crime of bringing such god-awfulness into our world.
What's worse, the producers of this horror seem proud of the visceral disgust any sane person has to it (just Google for their blog if you dare!). That shows their contempt for a civil society and therefore they forfeit their right to move freely among us. I fear I'll injure myself one day lurching for the volume as any part of that evil noise in my ears certainly causes brain damage. |

Just from listening to this jingle, if I had a car I needed to give away, I'd much rather ram it into a bridge abutment then donate to this goddamn company.

Well said! That jingle is irritating as $#%&, and I wish it would go away. Luckily, I'm listening to a radio station that DOESN'T feature that crappy jingle! |

I used to hear this jingle over and over on a Boston radio station, it was irritating, but I figured it was a charity and tried not to hate them too much. The kid was much worse than the adult, who at least was kinda folksy. Then I tuned into KFI in Los Angeles over the internet and heard it again, only they have replaced the adult with somebody else, I suspect Tim Conway Jr. himself, who is a thousand times worse, especially when he screeches, "That's cars with a K!!!"
Believe me, you don't want to go there. |

I used to hear it constantly throughout the day on either WBCN or WAAF. Made me switch back to 100.1 "The Planet" and "Rock 101". |

This whole commercial series needs a whole redo. They should dump everything and start anew. For heaven's sake drop the 'k' from 'cars'.

I hear this damned jingle about forty times a day at work, and it makes me want to take a baseball bat to the radio. I don't drive, but if I did and wanted to get rid of a Kar, I'd sooner drive it into the sea than give it to the Kids, simply because of this commercial. Dear God, make it stop!

That guy sounds creepy like a short eyes perv child molester. I thought this horrible commercial just came on in the Baltimore Washington area. We've had to hear this for years.

For some reason I can't seem to insert a pic...
I think that the reason they have a different singer in other markets is because the "pedo guy" makes it clear that this was one of those slapped together commercials made by WRKO/WEEI/WAAF in Boston and other Entercom stations around the country....but not the above mentioned Southern California station. I also don't ever hear the original jingle on rival Boston area radio stations. The "pedo guy" does alot of spots for small businesses and charities on WRKO and WEEI. I'm sure he put 'singing' on his resume to make it look good, and when they came to him with the K4K spot he was regretting it! That guy knows he's a terrible singer.

Just drag and drop the image in. That's what I always do. This forum is quite buggy. |

Remember what John Belushi did with the folk singer's guitar in Animal House? I visualize doing that every time that awful ad airs, at the same instant my arm is lunging for the radio buttons!

"I gave my love a cherry! That had no stone... I gave my love a chicken that had no bone.. I gave" BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM By the way, that folksy guy was Stephen Bishop (in case that ever comes up in Trivial Pursuit or Jeopardy!) |

I feel your pain! I thought this abortion of a commercial was just in the Baltimore, Washington area. We've been subjected to this "charity radio" spot for years. (Charity radio=government required mandated public service announcements) That guy sounds like a pathetic short eyes who got caught with his hands on the young boys. He probably has wet dreams over the blonde fruity strudel boy from the pop tart or whatever that junk pastry is.

This just in: http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2014/10/07/7th-heaven-star-stephen-collins-reportedly-admits-to-child-molestation/
Maybe Collins can get a job singing for 1 8 7 7 K A R S F O R K I D S BTW, I never did like this actor. He always seemed creepy to me. I started watching the 7th Heaven show when it was new, but couldn't stand him in it. Never watched it again. Now I know why I thought he was a creepazoid! |

^ I saw that story in the paper this morning. I never watched "7th Heaven" so I didn't know who the perv was.
On the bright side, those divorce attorneys must be having a field day! |
