I have heard of Glee but never watched it. My Granddaughters are both in competitive cheerleading. I asked them what they thought of Glee. They both said it sucked. Their Mother refused to know their gender before birth and is a very busy but wonderful Mother. No fetus flash cards there and they are both straight A students.

They sound like great girls with minds of their own. You can be proud of your children and of course your 2 granddaughters. There is still hope for us down the line. I'm glad she didn't do flashcards while they were in her belly! I don't know where you live but, I hear horror stories especially in the hip cities like NYC, LA and Boston to name a few where the intense scrutinizing begins while they are still toddlers. It's psycho competition just to get "into the right tony expensive preschool. Kids can't be kids anymore but the adults can act like spoiled primadonnas.

The Grandaughters are going to very good public schools. We live in Oregon. If children are struggling in school a private school may be the way to go. We did that for the girls Uncle. Private school peer pressure seemed to be good grades.

This commercial is in Black and White but his guitar is blue. WTF? AngryNuke

ConfusedEven though THAT has been 'generally available' - AND USED-' for almost 20 years, now...I, for one am really happy when I do not run into a f'king T.V. on the gas pump, doncha know. Really, the tech hit the streets almost 20 years back, but it didn't (thankfully) stick.

First time I've seen it, Pa.  Then again, I primarily go to one gas station, and that one doesn't have the TVs.

I guess this would be lost on the Jersey and Oregon folks, who I think still have to wait while someone official fills their tanks for them.

I hope this never changes. The station I go to most of the time has even started washing windshields! Our fuel is still less expensive than California self serve. Many years ago I crossed into Idaho and decided to fill up. I was the only customer at the station and although I could see a couple of people inside they just ignored me. I waited, and waited. Finally another customer pulled in, hopped out, and inserted the nozzle. I almost knocked myself out with that forehead slap!

Last time I was in Jersey, I had to wait while the lone attendant had to tend to 3 or 4 cars that came before me.  I was gritting my teeth thinking I could've been outta there already.  So, no thanks, I'd rather pump my own gas.

WinkI was lost to it the first time I ran into it, way back when. Think it was either in Dallas, or Raleigh - either city is a 'techno proving ground'. I've never seen it wide-spread and certainlyam not surprised.
The moment one started to pump, the little screen showed started playing CNN, or the weather channel - I forget which. When you finished, well, so did the lil 'idiot box'. Went black as a chalkboard.
I found it distracting and basically, BS.

I'm just surprised that they didn't plop one of those spikey purple 80's "rock and roll" wigs on him, or maybe a set of Elvis sideburns.

I gave my almost 4 y/o Grandson a classical (3 nylon strings) childs (not a toy) guitar for Christmas. He loves banging away and singing. I think I could teach him the Chase "bawma bawma" licks in about 10 minutes. He would be way ahead of the guitar "player" in the totally faked commercial!

I hate every Chase Freedom commercial with this idiot in it. The other awful ones that immediately come to mind are the "bob and weave" and "Bon appetit, guys!" ones.
